Spirulina

11 posts in this topic

I have been reading a few studies which suggest that Spirulina can inhibit the replication of HSV-1. The tests were done on animals.

I have started taking Spirulina as an immune booster, its only been 2 weeks, so too early to tell. But, no out breaks as yet.

I am wondering if anyone has tried Spirulina and what were the results??

(I have HSV-1 oral and genital)

Good overall supplement to take, this is my main stay vitamin!! Yes, will help also helps remove toxins but you need to ad a lot more to you regimen. Try detoxing with zeolite pure, this will remove heavy metl and plastics also help with viral load. Take 3 times a day. Look into some oxygen therapy, mms can help also. I had best results when I cleaned up my body detoxing and eating organic.

I used spirulina too. Two times a day for a few weeks now. I mix it with my juices. I bought it form Wholefood. I am hoping this helps me too. I take spirulina, and dr sibes products. I had a blood test done a week ago. I invest a lot of money in his products I change my diet no meats. I hope the results stay no herpes. I had it for 5 6 years now I hope the doctor lie to me and they wanted to make the money off me lol

Spirulina is only my "multi vitamin" it can help but isn't even going to put a dent in this! I believe the most important thing to do is cleansing and removing toxins and trying not to put any pack in by eating organic. 3 most important are heavy metal, parasite and colon cleanse on a very regular basis with a maintenance program. I also take a very high quality probiotic. Our immune systems are in our gut and colon so they have to be the healthiest or none of the supplements we take will even matter!!

I also believe oxygen and minerals are a HUGE key in this also. In my opinion you have to hit this as hard as you can from every different angle that you can on a daily basis. Here is a list of everything that I take every day or every other for some. D-earth, molecula silver, zeolite pure, oxy-powder, mr oxygen sulfur msm, humic/fulvic acid, propolis plus I take a few other basic thing just for health.

I just use a teaspoon 3x day. I mix mine in a double shot glass and use lemon aid to mix it with because I also take a tsp of msm at that point also and it tastes really bad so it helps kill it. Just use water it Tastes like nothing. You might only want to start at 1/2 tsp once a day and work up from there, don't know if you could have any detox effects from this. Hope this helps.

Thanks Sophie11. I'm adding this with other supplements I'm taking. I'm also taking famcyclovir .....do you think it will be alright? I looked on the website and is says that it should be ok but to ask your Dr to be sure, well my Dr doesn't know what zeolite is and "thinks that it should be ok" do you know anything about this? Thanks again in advance.

Hi lookingforrelief, it should be fine. I would just make sure to take them a few hours apart, maybe take your zeolite as soon as you wake.

Thanks Sophie11. I hope this and everything else I'm taking makes this thing dormant again. I've been super depressed cause of this horrible affliction. If u read my previous post you'll see. Thanks again, I will keep you posted. Oh BTW, I know everyone is different but how long did it take to see results? I'm sorry, this will be my last question.

That's ok :-), I can't really remember but it will depend on just how toxic your body is. It works by removing heavy metals first then plastics and pesticides and then starts on viral particles. I actually do think it helped me quite quickly. I hope it helps you like it has worked for me.

      Hair Loss in the Ladies?!?
I have hair loss but it's d/t my thyroid. I have to growths found by accident when I had a CT scan.  But notice increase hair loss with the valtrex.    Started taking a prenatal vitamin to help combat the hair loss and it has seems to help.

      Hair Loss in the Ladies?!?
Hi guys! Can I bring this thread back from the dead to see if any of the original posters found any resolution to their hair loss? I was diagnosed with HSV 2 in June of 2015 & started taking suppresive Valtex immediately. I took it for about 4 months but had to stop cause I noticed a tremendous amount of hair loss. I have been off of it now for over 4 months but I'm still losing hair.I have an almost completely bald temple area now! I am doing  lots of research and I am pretty certain that I have some kind of thyroid issue. I visited my GP this week but she was not very helpful to say the least. I now am looking into finding either an endocrinologist or a holistic doctor who has specialized training in the thyroid.  I just find it odd that the hair loss got much worse when I started the Valtrex.   Sooo.....any of you original posters still around? Do any of you have thyroid issues?

      Life is truly a mess
Hey HH, marriage is different things to different generations. I've learned so much over these past 30 yrs. My husband and I are both old fashioned in our own ways. I expect people for their character and who they are, he feels everyone should act a certain way all the time. He courted me and our first date after he proposed, he had a single red rose and a very ugly tie, I knew he was mine forever!   You don't have to conform to live happily ever after, make your life, whether good or bad, work for you. Some of our best memories are when I was physically sickest. Just knowing that person is the buffer between you and death is the most fulfilled you can ever experience..  I know he would do for me what I would do for him, we are NOT conforming to what others think is correct, we practice what we spoke and I thank God everyday for giving him to me and our daughter.  I'm NOT telling you to leave her, that can only be your choice. I am however telling you to be selfish and think of your needs first. It's easy for someone to tell you how to handle a situation when they don't walk in your shoes. I've lived some of your experience and I chose to be selfish, I'm happy I did. Karma did find him, he's passed and God doesn't make mistakes. Hugs Truly Aces xo

      false negatives?
Maby just oral then and thr pain down there i get could be a coincidental skin problem. Surely in the 2 years ive been with my gf also id of had something change or appear but i havent. I dont know how to think about jt but all i can do is retest somewhere else to get an idea. Wouldnt want to ever put anyone else at risk in life, cause i know how mentally draining all this is.

      Which test to believe?
No one is rejecting any story, here are the facts... - Swab is negative. - IgG testing is negative, if ultimately positive for HSV-1, this is correlated to people who have had the virus a long time, say 20 years or more - 50% of people with oral HSV-1 have no living memory of cold sores, so lack of cold sores rules out nothing - Some 50% of the population contract oral HSV-1 before living memory - no male has been confirmed as contracting genital HSV-1 with an established oral infection - most every male will experience non herpetic penile lesions after oral or vaginal or anal sex in their lifetime. All we have is a doctor who SAID it looked like herpes, this is just an opinion not  The most logical explanation that fits the information provided is usually correct and would need to be disproven. @Sanguine108I'm sorry that you have a fixation on your self worth being attached to having a virus that you do not have. It is unlikely that we on this board can help you with that. I hope that you find solace in your reality with the right self reflection. I think it would be a start in terms of raising empathy for others in not jumping to a genital herpes conclusion but progressing there as the information unfolds. At present this is simply vicariously attempting to live an experience through others that you have not experienced yourself.
