My possible happily ever after. Disclosure gone well
Learningtolivewithhsv posted a topic in Disclosure (telling)
So I was diagnosed with GHSV1 about five months ago. Even though I ended up disclosing to four of my amazing friends, I was dating a guy prior to finding out that I was a carrier of HSV (he’s not the guy who I got it from) and let’s just say he didn’t take it as well as I thought. Recently, this summer some guy who I’ve crossed paths with on multiple occasions over the last couple of years have come back into my life and we fell in love really quickly. So this is actually just some questions that I would love to hear your opinions on! So say you're talking to a potential partner and (well I would think if your really making a connection that you would want to tell them maybe a month in or whatever depending on the situation), is it too crazy to ask someone to get a blood test for you (and other tests)?? And I mean this as a before the talk/disclosure. Because of course it would be convenient for them to just happen to have herpes already and didn't know it (unfortunately). But would it freak them out that you want them to get checked?
