  1. Hi. We all know that in theory it usually takes 12-16 weeks (sometimes up to 24 weeks) to get positive IGG blood test for HSV2. What are your personal experiences of testing positive for HSV2, i.e. time since exposure? And IGG score? Can you also state if you had HSV1 (oral or genital) and took any Antivirals prior to IGG testing? TQ
  2. Sanguine108 believed in St John's wort combo therapy and I was looking for elements/actions that would give me everything to punch HSV2 from many angles and give me- 1. body that was alkaline since hsv loves an acid anaerobic environment. Apple cider vinegar or lemon/lime water minus an overload of carbs. Possibly Keto like Bethany. Fulvic Acid (thanks JxC) to keep it alkaline and get the much-needed minerals entering at a cellular level. 2. To build the immune system, I was short on DHEA. I will probably look into boosting immune system with the correct amount of vitamin A, B complex, E, zinc picolinate /quality zinc do not ingest zinc oxide, Iodine, extra vitamin D, 4000iu , extra Vit C possible liposomal ( or make your own because liposomal C and glutathione is so pricey) unless you take it to bowel tolerance, minerals like boron, magnesium citrate, (unless you want the Hershey squirts) Ashwagandha powder (1t) to get the thyroid humming perfectly, and Glutathione immunity booster, it is involved all our cells and our number one antioxidant. Take them as directed more is not better especially vit A 9 ways to boost glutathione https://draxe.com/glutathione/ 3. dissolving the lipid coating of HSV 2 with St. John's wort and BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene), an FDA-approved food preservative - I have only been using it for a week. Book -http://www.projectwellbeing.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/BHTbook-StevenWmFowkes-100903.pdf less than a gram/1000mg (more is not better) because it is less expensive or a combo of Brand-Lauricidin/ monolaurin on a lower dose because it is costly. https://www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/ask-the-doctor/herpes/ ... "Regarding the natural treatment of herpes infection, we can take advantage of the characteristics of the virus to impact its tendency to erupt. Since the virus is essentially a piece of DNA surrounded by a fatty layer, if we target this aspect we can largely “disable” the virus. Luckily, we have two substances which are known to target this tendency of the virus. First, the herb Hypericum perforatum, commonly known as St. John’s wort, contains a chemical called hypericin. It is hypericin that gives the red color to the oil glands in the leaves, and it is hypericin that selectively targets the lipid capsule of viruses. For centuries, physicians have valued St. John’s wort as a nervine, meaning a medicine that targets the nervous system. Thus practitioners have traditionally used St. John’s wort to treat depression and toothache. Remember that the nervous system consists largely of cells with fatty coatings, similar to the encapsulated viruses. The plant in its wisdom contains the active chemical hypericin in an oily base, and because oil only dissolves in oil, it penetrates the oily tissues of the body, that is, the nerve cells, where hypericin then dissolves the lipid coating of the virus. (wow, heavy claim) I generally prefer Mediherb herbal products because of their potency. The dose is two tablets twice per day, even for the very long term. I did not get that exact brand. The second characteristic takes advantage of the virus-disabling effect of lauric acid, the 12-carbon fatty acid found in breast milk fat and in coconut oil. Thanks to the work of Mary Enig, readers of this journal are familiar with the anti-microbial benefits of lauric acid and other short- and medium-chain fatty acids found in coconut oil. During digestion, the body breaks triglycerides (three fatty acids joined to a glycerol molecule) into di-glycerides (two fatty acids joined to a glycerol molecule), monoglycerides (one fatty acid joined to a glycerol molecule) and free fatty acids. It is the monoglycerol of lauric acid, called monolaurin, that has the strongest anti-microbial effects. For years, I counseled my herpes patients to eat as much coconut oil, as they could stomach. However, in the past year, I discovered a product called Lauricidin, which is a concentrate or pure form of monolaurin. One dose of Brand name -Lauricidin is the equivalent of taking many tablespoons of coconut oil per day, a practice most people find intolerable. I have been consistently impressed with the ability of Lauricidin to suppress herpes outbreaks, not to mention yeast problems like candida (monolaurin is also a potent anti-fungal agent), and allow people to get off their antiviral drugs. It is a safe extract, which can be taken long term. The usual dose to suppress the herpes is about 1/2 to 1 scoop, one to three times per day. It should be swallowed, not chewed, and always taken with some food. The dose should be increased slowly as tolerated and as gauged by its effectiveness. In addition, we must pay attention to the overall microbial content of our bodies, as we know that good bacteria actually synthesize antiviral substances. For most, this will mean following a nourishing traditional diet containing a variety of lacto-fermented foods; for others, a temporary GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) diet may be needed. The fermented cod liver oil is important at the dose of at least one-half teaspoon per day. With this regimen, most of my patients have been able to avoid both the conventional antiviral drugs and the painful symptoms of genital herpes..." ... 4. Reducing inflammation with turmeric/ curcumin and delivering oxygen to the system since HSV is anaerobic (without oxygen) Just like cancer. I like Fulvic acid; MSM and MMS, the two are very different- please follow the directions to the T and don't use with antioxidants or they will not work unless you take them apart!! don't use all these together. They have some of the same actions. 5. Sleep 8 hours in a dark room or mask the eyes so you able to manufacture melatonin and put the stress hormone to sleep while you sleep with Phosphatidylserine especially if you grind your teeth or can't sleep. 6. reduce stress by exercising (but not overdoing it) ...you fill in the blank. I use fluoxetine for sugar cravings and anxiety. 5 and 6 should really be 1. and 2. because nothing kills immunity like stress, sugar, and lack of sleep!!! thank you Cracked. 7. L-arginine L- lysine balance in foods. If you eat/drink foods high in arginine, take some lysine! ETA: I am experimenting with BHT butylated hydroxytoluene loved the book and reviews! ( don't take high levels) Unfortunately, I have family members who have had cancer and I really have a lot of work to do until I get in the habit. I can't just do a few things and get away with it! I don't know if I can do it all, but I really love the results that FeelingNormalAgain has and I also want a functional cure! Cancer victims work very hard on their protocol and I unfortunately need more effort in mine! If you actually got this far you are tenacious! I am going to a natural practitioner and they will be evaluating my blood under a microscope to look for inflammation, and how active my T cells are which will give them a picture of my immunity. There is one thing for sure, I can take all the lipid dissolving BHT St John's wort or monolaurin I want, but if my T-cells are not active enough to kill the HSV2 I will get outbreaks! Please feel free to add any links or tips! Many substances have the same actions and are just as good! They will also be evaluating my stress levels via inflammation (it looks like little hairs under a microscope.) I trust Dr. Axe, Dr. Mercola, and doctors in the Holtorf organization.
  3. Hi I need advices from people who have experience with ocular herpes. 3 years ago I had a few meetings with an asshole liar that denied to have any disease. Despite my being careful, I could not avoid to get infected because of his careless attitude. 2 days after one meeting I developed a small peripheral corneal ulcer in my left eye; my doctor didn't relate it to sexual diseases and after a few days of wrong treatment (she told me to put gentamicin cream in the eye!!), it went away. I believe that I may have touched my eyes carelessly, as it was late and it was my normal behavior from getting tired. After another meeting with the guy (about 1 month later), I developed blisters in my genital area. It was a large outbreak, like a primary one. I couldn't see the area well, but I think there were more blisters one near the other, very painful. They caused a large single ulcer which took 3 weeks to heal. I went to a STD ambulatory but the doctor, by looking at it (the healing ulcer), said that it didn't look like herpes. I asked for swabs. To my bad surprise, she did not even make an herpes test and she told me later that it was not tested in her hospital (!!). I have never had such a painful and long outbreak again later, but only very short and mild ones. 2 months later the blister in the eye came back. I went to an optic and he prescribed me antibacterial drops and steroids. About one year later I had a diagnosis of HSV1 in the urethra, which increased my suspects that that person had HSV. He still denied everything and when I asked him to get tested, he blocked all my contacts (I'm still considering how to report such a person). For almost 2 years my eye didn't have any problem, even if I went into a lot of stress (relocation, new job, a person toying with my feelings and poor sleep periods with anxiety, lots of exposure to sun, ...). I also had several vaccinations (HPV, Hepatitis, Tetanus), which I have recently finished (and they make me wonder if they made any good to my immune system). At the beginning of this year the problems with my eye started again. The first time I had small blisters in both eyes. In my left eye it's almost always in the same place. My right eye was never affected before. The second time I had again blisters in the left eye, this time after not much sleep and a day on the snow. Then in the right eye. I started visiting an ambulance for eye problems; every time I had a bad case of red eye, I went back to show it. In total I have been looked by 7 people, both when I had blisters and when I only had a bad red eye. Some of them stained my eye with pigments and watched through the lenses. Every time they told me it was not looking like herpes; probably they expected to see the typical branching lesion caused by herpes. Some of them said it was bacteria growing on my eye lids, some said I had dry eyes and my oil glands were obstructed. So most of the time I had indications to treat it with artificial tears or antibacterial drops and steroids (lotemax, prednisolone). One doctor once gave me acyclovir eye gel, not being sure if it really was herpes (after my indication). During the last visit (red eye only with no visible blisters, after a week end in the sun), I asked if I could get a swab. So they took it and they tested both chlamydia and Herpes. Both were negative. Despite their recommendation to use steroids, I applied also the acyclovir gel. I was surprised by the prescription of steroids without having properly tested for herpes. It is known that steroids reduce the immune response, that causes a proliferation of the virus and could make the infection worst. I applied the gel only to the affected eye. The redness would decrease significantly after 1 day and after 3 days it was almost looking normal. 1 week later after the start of the redness, the symptom appeared in the untreated eye. So I started to treat that eye in the same way. Then back again to the previous eye. And this continued from the beginning of the year until now (7 months). The redness is often accompanied with pain in the same side of my head. Often it happened after sun exposure (in summer period), biking for long, swimming training. Sometimes the affected eye has a small morning discharge near the lacrimal gland (yellow). Sometimes when I put artificial drops, I get some white patches on my eye lids, like if the tears are bringing out of my eye dead/dried skin. Many of these things are still making me suspect of herpes. So I would need some suggestions from people that have had the same problem. Can you relate to my symptoms? How did you get diagnosed? Is a swab a reliable test, or does it have many false negative? Did you get so many recurrences of red eye? And what did you do to stop them? I'm really depressed for what is happening to me and all the limitations that this is imposing me to my life. And also by the fact that I can't seem to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. Thank you for your help. L.

Hi all, I am new here. Is there any indians here?
  6. Out of the blue a slightly raised tiny white patch has developed on the side of the glans penis. It's completely painless, no itchiness, no burning, no redness, no irritation, no tingling, basically no sensation. It just came up 2 days ago, and seems to have gotten slightly bigger since day 1. What could this be? The pictures with black circle have it magnified a bit for better view.
  7. Hi there, Long time lurker, first time poster, and I'll keep it simple and condensed. I've only signed up because I realize the depths of suffering some people are in, trying all sorts of desperate treatments, and I've basically been sitting on something that has taken me to near 0 outbreaks (hsv1 genital). When I first got infected some years back, I had an atypical presentation--no pain or itching, but permanently there. Bumps going up and down within the same day even, but pretty much permanently covering the head of my penis. Doctor swabbed it--came back hsv 1; he said it looked like it to him too. Now to the meat of it--rubbing alcohol. Its simple, and I'm pretty surprised that I've only seen it mentioned once here--a woman was talking about it, so I assume it works for girls too. I apply once daily, to once every 3 days, and that keeps me pretty much permanently outbreak free. It quite literally went from every day broken out for me to just about nothing. Anyway, to the what and where of it all... I use 99% isopropyl. 70% seems good too. I now have a spray bottle, but used to just dump it on the head and roll my foreskin up over it for like 20ish seconds--whatever process is actually happening, I like to think I'm facilitating absorption into the soft tissue by doing this and wreaking havoc on the virus. Obviously, you may have to do it a bit differently, genital depending. I've been doing this treatment for a few years now, so it has staying power. I read once that herpes is shreded by alcohol, so if true, I guess that explains it? However, iterupting regular treatment seems to have anecdotally, but not with great surety, made the herpes a bit less suceptible to the alcohol upon resumption. Yes, it burns terribly at first. Over time it gets better. Some days it still really burns, and in those cases I advise listening to your body and cutting the countdown short. Other than that, it feels really damn good to basically tell herpes to eff off. I don't know what kind of health risks there are. Or whether using a high % grain (drinking) alcohol would work / be healthier. I advise asking your doctor--afterall, alchohol is implicated in throat cancer. Who knows if 20-30 seconds daily on your junk can do something too. But for those who struggle constantly, I truly hope this can help someone other than just me. I also hope that this finds its way to the right forum. I wanted it in a place where casual, straight from Google, viewers would see it when they came here, and I'm hoping--and asking, please--that if I didn't get it in the right place, a moderator can instead. And, should it help as I suggest, perhaps even stickying it one day. I'm sorry in advance, I'm not a big forum person and don't come here crazy often. It just felt like something I should do for everyone else's sake. Hopefully you can excuse me if I'm an absentee topic starter. Thanks for reading, - Taylor Edit: I forgot to add in any negative effects I've experienced. Sometimes, if its burning more than usual and I leave it too long, it does make the skin pinker than it should be, and sore. The big question, what about loss of sensitivity? I worried that may happen, and its possible actually that I've lost some amount. But if I have, it wasn't even enough to remember when posting this originally, hahaha. Still every body is different, so I can only speak for me. But yes, for me, my sensitivity down there is still in great shape. Over the last few years I've on average had less stiff erections, and dysfunction, which I never had before. However, I've also been less physically healthy, I've been mentally disengaged and highly anxious around sex and sexuality (and when I'm not anxious, it often improves quite a bit), I read once that herpes itself can actually cause forms of ED, and I'm also now out of my 20's, so... Possibly related? But also very possibly unrelated to the alcohol. I'm biased though, both in mentality and my words here. So, perhaps consult a doctor if you're concerned. Cheers!

    Herpes and Constipation

I have noticed that I now have chronic constipation after my primary outbreak. Scientists have found a link to it. Has anyone else had this issue? Treatments?
  9. Hey any help would be great. I’ve been losing my mind of this and I’ve been procrastinating on going to get tested because I’m scared of the results and also I have no insurance or anything to consult with a doctor. so I got tested may of 2018 and I was positive for hsv1 which I feel like I may have gotten as a kid not sure, but since that test I’ve received unprotected oral sex twice and every since I’ve slowly been growing bumps on the meatus. I’m uncircumcised as well. Could this be herpes, warts, chlamydia? My girlfriend (I cheated on her and don’t know how to explain to her I might’ve caught something) has had a bit of blood discharge on her underwear in between periods. I work a lot and wear sort of tight clothing and I get smegma under the head as well. Smells bad too. Help!!! I’ve had this for months.
  10. Ive been going through hell, itchy tailbone, clear discharge, difficulty urinating, pain on tip of penis dull back pain and now this rash..Please someone help. I cant take it! Ive been tested but it was negative. Maybe too early idk just please help.
  11. Hi. Will try to keep it short: Day 0 - Exposure with HSV2 confirmed female. Exposure = 1-time brief unprotected vaginal. Not sure if she had outbreak/shedding/blisters at that time. She was not on any meds. Day 5 - Redness and itchiness on the penis head and shaft on and off. Resolved in about a week. No lesions/blisters or other symptoms. Day 28 - Other symptoms started: tingling and nerve pains in the groin on and off throughout the day, radiating pains in the legs, fordyce spots appeared on the shaft, lower back and neck pain, burning in urethra (occasional), rashes on the body (occasional), diahrrea (occasional), overall nervousness and tiredness, flue like with feverish (occasional). No lesions/blisters. Day 30 - Tested HSV1 positive (IGG 19.6) (had it since childhood), HSV2 negative (IGG 0.3). All other STDs negative. Taken antibiotics for 5 days. Taken AV (acyclovir) for 10 days (Days 35-45). No symptoms at that time. Day 50 - Tested HSV1 positive (IGG 16.4), HSV2 negative (IGG 0.1). I believe AB went down a bit due to AV. All other STDs negative. Currenty symptoms persist on and off, but less severe: tingling and nerve pains in the groin, radiating pains in the legs. Still no lesions/blisters. Planning to retest again at Day 90. I am aware that prior HSV1 and AVs may delay HSV2 ABs production. What are your thoughts/advice? Thank you.
  12. Is herpes curable I don't know but either this or that Ayurveda making me go convincing they can cure it. Kindly please go to its details n tell what should I do as they even showing reports too http://prasad176phatak.blogspot.in/2013/07/nagin-or-herpis-zoster-treated-fast-by.html
  13. Hello world! I had my first HSV2 outbreak 8 years ago. The first one is the worst -- the actual outbreak hurts like hell. The outbreak itself was very tiny and localized in a small genital area. However It came with side effects I didn't expect like an acute and intense tingling sensation in my lower back, buttocks, and spread down to my feet/toes. Fast forward years. I rarely get actual outbreaks if ever. But I do experience that intense nerve pain I remember that comes before an outbreak manifests as a skin lesion. So now the outbreaks don't happen, but the prodrome pre-tingles happen often. Except now those piercing sharp tingles aren't just perceptible in the aforementioned areas. I feel it all over my body intermittently - neck, shoulders, arm, yes leg and lower back, foot, etc.. To emphasize, I never experienced any chronic pain remotely similar to "herpes tingles" pre- first HSV 2 outbreak. Several Questions: Does this pain sound familiar to you? Has it migrated outside of where it was when you first had an outbreak? When I bring this up to multiple doctors, I'm baffled that they have no idea what I'm talking about. Or don't see the connection between the nerve(?) /lymph node (?) pain / neuralgia/ paresthesia and HSV. Every time I see a "Lyrica" commercial for fibromyalgia I think to myself, "well this is fucking it. this is what I'm feeling/experiencing in my body." Is there a link between fibromyalgia and herpes? I wonder how many patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia have either HSV 1/ HSV 2/ shingles/ varicella-zoster viruses or something related? It seems to me there is a there there. But I also feel I'm being gas lit by the world and that in general researchers / HCPs are too "embarrassed" to even commit to research around the "not talked about" symptoms of HSV; or even HSV in general. How can herpes be so "common" and yet not a single medical professional is conversant in the totality of the disease or specializing in it? >_< Not related, but where can I purchase acyclovir cream? That stuff is like contraband in the USA lol. ugh this country sucks in this arena.

    Genital HSV1 scare

Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum but have asked similar questions on medhelp and to Terri Warren via her website. I’m wondering if anyone can help me with these symptoms that I’m having. This is my story— it’s a long one. I’ve never had any kind of sex until the end of September 2017 when someone performed unprotected oral sex on me once for 2 minutes. I later learned he has had around 50 partners but he claims he has never had a cold sore. -End of November experienced itchy patch on inner thigh that later scabbed over. Never had fluid in it. Currently experiencing similar itch on ribs. Before and after images of my thigh below. It has completely healed now. -Start of December intense burning/tugging feeling of pubic hair began when touched. Dermatologist did biopsy, found that my “skin flared up” and said it was hyper dermatographia although odd that it was only in that area. Recommended allergy medication but didn’t work. Also tried fungal creams, polysporin, steroid creams. Started to feel much better once I shaved. Still have irritation but not as bad as before, especially worse when wearing tight clothes. Sometimes small red specks of irritation are visible but usually doesn’t look like anything. (See third photo) -Also start of December, Buttocks turns red and feels irritated when sitting, only to totally disappear once I stand up. Still happening. Mostly just on left side, a big patch flares up. -mild fever for 2 days with congestion mid Jan (could have just been the flu). Accompanied by a lot of watery discharge that continued until I got my period Feb 2 (odd black and chunky period). Discharge started back up after period ended and still happening now. Experienced headaches and back pain while on period, unusual for me -had a swab of itchy area with no lesions, negative but it wasn’t a PCR so probably useless -had small spot swabbed 6 days after appearance, negative. (Fourth picture) Maybe just an infected hair... didn’t burst or scab over really and stayed for about a month which is too long to be herpes. Had other areas swabbed, need to check with the clinic to see if this was a PCR or not. -two small blister type spots, disappeared after a couple of days. (5th picture is before, 6 is after). Never burst or scabbed, just kind of “peeled”. -Slight burning feeling in vaginal opening a few weeks ago -fatigue since period Tested for all STDs multiple times, HerpeSelect IGG blood test done at 9 weeks and 19 weeks, negative for HSV 1 & 2. Also did a combined IGG test at 16 weeks that was negative. Had bacterial swabs, urine tests… all normal. What’s been really bothering me these past couple of weeks is the watery discharge that won’t stop and the nerve pain that gets worse at night. When I lie in bed I can feel it from my belly button down to my knees mostly but also in other areas at times (felt I slightly on my arms last night, a bit on upper back, lower back) I realize my encounter was low risk, I’m having atypical symptoms, and my tests have been negative... everyone is telling me I’m absolutely crazy and needn’t to move on with me life but I can’t. I found a clinic in San Diego that does the Western Blot and am wondering if I should do it since Terri Warren says 30% of HSV 1 is missed through IGG tests. Am I being ridiculous? I started having extreme stress about my health after I saw the patch on my thigh in November and slowly the symptoms have been racking on. Could I be doing this to myself through stress? Thank you for any help!!

    I need help.

I was recently diagnosed with HSV 1 a week ago and the emotional strain has been horrible. I’m the type of person who hates the unknown, so I’m trying to figure out if I have it genitally or orally. I had sex with someone who has been tested for herpes, but he doesn’t remember which strain he has. He hasn’t had an outbreak in years and has taken medicine, so my doctor initially said the chance was extremely low that he gave it to me (especially because it was only for about 1 min and that was it.) I get mouth ulcers regularly and I also get what I believe is a cold sore right in the corner of my mouth (which I’ve read isn’t a real cold sore?) so I’m wondering if that’s why I tested positive. We had sex a month and a half ago, and the symptoms started about a week and a half ago. Burning while peeing, and the occasional itching. When my doctor looked (she also did a Pap smear) she said she saw no lesions which I took as a good sign. I’ve been taking Valtrex for 5 days now but my symptoms haven’t improved at all. I just need people to talk to who know how I’m feeling. Thank you all
  16. Approximately 5 years ago a girl gave me a peck on the lips, I wiped my lips off. The next morning I woke up with a painful rash all over my top lip that dried up and resulted in chapped lips, where the skin died and regenerated. No pus or obvious cold sore. I have had this same outbreak approximately once a year in the same place except for this year where I have had it almost continuously, I have been very stressed. I went to the doctor who says it isn't cold sores (I have to wait 2 weeks for a blood test), however I have found someone ( To those with oral HSV2 only by Penumbra,) who tested positive for HSV2 by blood test with my EXACT symptoms. Before an outbreak, my lip/nose area is tingling a lot and I feel a strong twitching in my lip. Is it possible that I have mild cold sores? I would greatly appreciate any help
  17. Hello everyone, This is my first post here. I was reading already a lot in this forum. I need some help or some support from you guys who have much longer experience with herpes than me. I caught genital herpes HSV2 around May 2016 last year with a typical initial outbreak pretty obvious. I just used Aciclovir Cream for my initial outbreak, which probably lasted like 2 weeks. Since then I have had around 15 outbreaks in the last year. almost ever 2 weeks. Usually my outbreaks were less severe, always appearing at different spots but mostly in my shaft area, sometimes left sometimes right side. I would treat it with some tea tree oil or other oils or Manuka Honey and after 1 week it would disappear and I was able to have a pretty normal sex life with protection of course. (when having a coming outbreak I was avoiding sex). Now my real problem: About 2 Months go I started getting some pain on my glans (the tip of my penis) where usually i did not have any symptoms before (I am Circumcised by the way) especially when its erected. This pain got more and more. and I started getting also burning sensations on my glans and sometimes itching, it itches more after urinating. Then from time to time I got burning in my urethra. Also my glans doesn't look how it used to look like. There is no obvious herpes lesion on my glans like usually in the shaft area. no proper breakout, no wetness, no big red dot. It is just in general red and some parts look like they have a different color (little red, some like have more brighter color, like if some insect bite me their, light 3mm big circle at the edge of my glans, the ring). I have this constant pain and weird colorization on my glans for already about 2 months. I went to 3 different urologists, they say it looks pretty normal, but without really looking on it properly (even the light in their room is not proper bright). I got prescribed Valtrex from one of the urologists, and I am taking it 2 times a day for almost 3 weeks now, but the symptoms do not get better. I also did a urine test testing for STDs like chlamydia etc and that test was negative. I asked the doctor if it could be yeast infection, and they believe it is not and they just tell me to relax and see what happens. But my pain is not getting better, my glans doesn't look like before, its constantly red and swollen and also it itches. What is this, and when does it get better and how? I also tried to apply some aciclovir Cream from time to time, but it did not help. Can someone help me or has any idea if that is normal and what the solution is for that. If I would have typical outbreaks like before, I would be at least able to identify it, but this constant no ending symptoms make me crazy and psychologically unstable. I am constantly stressed because of that. I am also taking nowadays, Oregano oil pills, Vitamin D3, Vitamin B complex, Vitamin C, Lyssine, Zinc. It all does not help and it doesn't get better. I can't wait for your answers, and I am thanking in front. Good that this forum exists.

    Does herpes cause vaginal dryness?

I just got diagnoed about a month ago, & before i got diagnosed, i would masturbate all the time with no problem. Now when i masturbate, i have trouble getting wet. Is my vaginal dryness caused by the virus?
  19. So five weeks ago I had a stupid drunken encounter with a girl from a bar I was at. She straddled me and kissed me and eventually there was brief penetration, maybe less than 10 seconds, underneath her dress. There was also some fondling. Once I realized how stupid I was being I stopped and when I went to zip up I realized there was blood and mucus from her period on me. I immediately freaked out thinking STDs and HIV! Three days later as I was going to get into the shower some white discharge came out of my penis. My penis began to burn and I started having frequent urination. I also had a slimy feeling in my anus. I waited a few days while this continued before going and getting tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia at nine days post exposure. All came back clear. About a week after this started, and 10 days post exposure, I became very dizzy in a group setting and almost couldn't speak. I almost passed out but gathered myself and a few moments later had some buzzing feeling in my butt. When I got home I had developed some red bumps on my butt. I have some acne in the area already so I wasn't sure about this. They hurt but we're not terribly sore. They could not be squeezed but scabbed over after a couple of days and went away. The next morning I woke up with swollen tonsils and a swollen uvula. My throat was not sore however. I went to the doctor and he looked at the bumps on my butt and said that he thought it was a heat rash or acne. He swabbed my throat for strep and it was negative. I told him about my concern of HsV2 and he prescribed Acyclovir 3×400 mg per day. He doubted that I had anything to worry about with the bumps but said Acyclovir would not hurt anything if I turn out to be negative. I went and finished the STD panel the next day about two weeks out for HIV DNA PCR, hepatitis, HSV one and two, and syphalis. All came back negative. I know that it was too early for a definitive HSV test but better negative than not. A few days later after starting the Acyclovir I got a bump on my upper lip near the skin line. I thought it was a pimple or ingrown hair so I squeezed it and just clear liquid and blood came out. It scabbed over and went away in a few days. I also felt some swelling and soreness under the inside of my lip but never really developed a sore. A three weeks post exposure and still having burning on my penis, frequent urination, and burning in my anus with mucus discharge I went back to the doctor. He did a prostate exam where my prostate was very sensitive to the touch. He diagnosed me with prostatitis and prescribe me Lexofloxacin. I also convinced him to refill my Acyclovir. He thinks my issues are anxiety related and prostatitis. I could not handle the Lexofoxacin after three days and stopped using it. It was making me exhausted. At around four weeks post exposure the burning on my penis and frequent urination subsided. Now at 5 weeks I still have burning in my anus and mucus discharge. I also have developed back pain neck stiffness slight headaches and twitching in my left eye. My vision is also somewhat blurry. Is it really possible that I have all of these symptoms, including some of the rarest ones for HSV2? Before this I just had a physical and was really healthy. I'm getting tested again next week at 6 weeks but can someone tell me if it's really possible that all these symptoms came and are lasting this long after such a brief exposure?!? Help!
  20. Dear all, first of, i’m thankful I found this website. I’ve been diagnosed with genital warts a few months back since April and it hasn’t been pleasant. As I was doing my treatment for genital warts, immediately as I went home I realised some small bumps which then immediately turned into huge yellow ulcers that really hurts like shit. Hence I went back to my doctor the next day and she was surprised as well, 1. Is there a chance of contacting genital herpes from oral sex? 2. I do not have any blisters Nor rashes but these sores does hurts and pee-ing is just terrible, it burns so much. 3. How do one survive with being diagosed with herpes? 4. Any chances of soothing the huge sores that i’ve have? 5. I’ve been given some anti-vira medication, any idea how Long does the outbreak takes? 6. Does that means there’ll be no more unprotected sex from now on as I might pass this virus to my partner? 7. Pretty sure I’ve gotten it from this Australian guy, but I haven’t been able to tell him to go for a check up and all. Please feel free to give me suggestions and ideas on this thread as i’m In a lost now and have completely no idea what’s the next step. I can’t seem to upload the photos of the sore here, so if anyone could help, please let me know as i’m Desperate to clear the pain.
  21. So I went to the doctor about a month ago. He said it doesn't look like herpies . Said it wasn't anything that should worry me . But it still hasn't went away . I have one main partner (GF) don't think she'd ever cheat. N one girl who I cheat with but haven't been with in like a month or 2 tryna clean up my act . They both seem to think their clean, n both say their only fucking me . Yes I know they could be lying . So I'm just here, does it look like herpies ? Nothing ever popped , never hurts, aren't sores. Just little bumps that seem like dry pimples.
  22. I was dating this guy who has genital hsv2 like me. He thinks that he got hsv2 on his nose from going down on me. It got really bad and had a lot of puzz. The docotr said that they could not be sure that it was herpes because more than 48 hours had passed after he got the outbreaks and swab tests would be unreliable(Never heard that before) I started doing my research based on his symptoms and found out that it can be a staph resistant to antibiotics infection too. I wounder if anyone has had this experience before? How often can you find staph and herpes at the same time?

  24. To give a summary: My last sexual encounter besides my current girlfriend of a few months was at Christmas (unprotected oral and genital) with a female. In May I had for the first time a flare up in my genital area (penis on the side and at the base and on scrotum), where the skin was itchy and red and my penis was sore with a singular tiny red spot on the shaft . These symptoms lasted 4 weeks at which time I tried using cream and tablets for thrush as that was what my GP thought it was which didnt work. I showed pictures to a lady at the gum glinic after I managed to get an appointment as at that point my symptoms had gone, she said she didnt think it was anything to worry about and I tested negative for all stds (excluding herpes which at the time I didn't know they dont test for unless syptoms are present). I thought it was nothing to worry about then and since forgot about it. I however have had the same symptoms come back again on Sunday night with a single red spot on my penis shaft which went away after a few days but my penis still feels somewhat sore and the skin around the side of my penis itches and on my scrotum. I have no lesions or sores that have burst open or have any liquid in and have never had a coldsore in my life, I am worried this is non typical symptoms of a herpes infection and bought over the counter aciclovir cream and tablets from an online chemist to try and treat it myself until I can get another appointment at the gum clinic. I now have a girlfriend who has never had any symptoms of anything at all and I am worried and scared I may have given her the infection if it is herpes due to the fact we have sex without the use of condoms. 1. Does this sound like it could be symptomatic of herpes? 2. Is this likely based on the fact the same syptoms have re-occured or could it be something else? (Apologies I cannot upload the photos as they are too large for the limit on this website) Thank you.
