I started getting a really sore finger a couple days ago and then these bumps started showing that eventually turned into what you see in the pic. It's really painful. I looked around online a bit and it kind of matches the description of herpetic whitlow? What does everyone else think? I have HSV2 but didn't realise it could spread like this? The only thing I can think of is from itching or applying cream pre-OB. I've started taking my anti vitals and keeping a plaster on just in case
Some background before I explain- I have not been formally diagnosed with herpes but I do get cold sores. It's been at least 2 years since my last one and since my life is very fast paced it's always the last thing on my mind. Hi all, I am 64 years old and have always assumed that I do not have herpes, since I have never had any symptoms at all. I have had a girlfriend for the past year. Just last week she developed stinging sores in her vaginal area. She went to Planned Parenthood yesterday and was told by the doctor that it "looks like herpes", although she was not certain. I am a newly diagnosed (<1 year) HSV2 positive female. For the first time since my diagnosis, I started to hook up with a guy and things got heated. Being the fact that I didn't tell him about the situation, no intercourse happened however, at one point he fingered me and in the heat of the brought his fingers to his mouth. Although no direct oral sex from him to me happened, we are worried about the rate of transmission. I am on valacycolvir daily had no sign of an outbreak and no prodrome pain from shedding (I've experienced nerve pain in the past). I also went down on him and, even thoug
