i'm confused, is this herpes?

ok i'm really scared that i might have herpes. i noticed these small dots around my vagina, i can't really see them but i can feel they are there and i'm not sure if it's ingrown hair or not. i have had someone finger me a couple of times and i've had anal sex once, but there is no pain when i urinate. alittle while ago, my glands were very itchy and red, but that was about a month ago and they haven't been itchy now. also i've noticed that some parts around my vagine are darker, almost the colour of a bruise and i'm not sure if that's from rubbing or something else. i recently have lower back pain more on my left side as well. does this sound like herpes?

There are some great and really supportive people on this board but its really difficult to give a "diagnosis" to someone, especially since it affects different people in different ways. Although from your description, I'm not sure if what you have is herpes, the best way to find out is by going to your gynecologist and having a culture done on the "dots". I know that people want to be told that whatever symptoms they have don't sound like herpes, but anything unusual in that area should be checked out. And even if it does turn out to be herpes, believe it or not, knowing is better than wondering...
