I was just diagnose with herpes 1 & 2. I just did it as a rutine check up. I've been with my partner for 6-7 years. I broke up with him few moths ago & dating this wonderful guy. I've used protection & never had any symptoms. No blisters, NOTHING!!!!!!

How can I be infected and my previous partner never experienced anything either???

I'm reading everthing there is to know about herpes and can not related to anything. My doctor said that 1 in 20 who will only carry the virus . Has any body ever heard of this??????

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy I do not have the painful symptoms but I'm confuse.........

Should I get another test??????

i think you should get tested again sometime. In females you could have the ob's on your insides and never have known it. As a male, i would have never been curious if i wasn't so investigative and my ob's weren't on the outside. My other symptoms were very easily missed. Your doctor could be very right about 1 in 20 never having an ob but i have found that people that have this and are curious, usually know more about "H" than most general practitioners. I am curious, why did you get tested with no outbreaks? Only cuz I had to twist my Dr's arm to give me the blood test and he asked me if I was sure I wanted it. You should have your boyfriend tested too if he knows you were diagnosed.
