OK, SO I'VE FINALLY DECIDED TO TAKE A STAND AND STOP BEING SO SCARED OF COMMING TO FACE THE FACT THAT I MAY HAVE AN UNTREATABLE STD. I'M 23 AND HAVE HAD MY SHARE ON UNPROTECTED SEX AS WELL AS A COUPLE OF STDS. OVER THE PAST 10 TO 12 MONTHS I HAVE NOTICED SOME WEIRD THINGS HAPPENING TO MY BODY. I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ANY REALLY WEIRD THINGS DOWN BELOW BUT I DO GET A SMALL (10-12) AMOUNT OF BUMPS ON MY RIGHT SIDE UP UNDER MY ARMPIT. IT IS DIRECTLY IN LINE WITH MY BREAST. ALSO WHEN I SHAVE UNDER MY ARMS NOW THE SKIN HAS BECOME VERY SENSITIVE AND I SEEM TO BE GETTING WHAT LOOKS AND FEELS LIKE INGROWN HAIRS. THE BUMPS ON THE SIDE OF MY CHEST WILL LAST ABOUT 1 WEEK OR SO AND WON'T COME BACK FOR ABOUT 3 TO 6 MONTHS LATER. I AM SOOOO SCARED THAT I MAY BE INFECTED. I KNOW THAT THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO GO TO THE DOCTOR BUT I AM LEARY OF THE RESULTS. THE SAD PART ABOUT IT IS THAT I DO CONTINUE TO HAVE SEX.... BUT.....IT IS WITH MY SAME SEX PARTNER OF 8 MONTHS AND IS VERY PROTECTED, I THINK THAT IF I CONFIDE IN HIM THAT HE WILL NOT BE SO COMFORTING AND TRY TO SLANDER MY NAME....I REALLY JUST WANT TO GO IN A DARK CORNER AND HIDE. I HAVE A 2 YEAR OLD SON WHO I S MY LIGHT AND I CAN'T LET HIM SEE ME DEPRESSED LIKE THIS.........PLEASE GIVE ME ANY INSGHT THAT YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT OUTBREAK AREAS......THANK YOU

herpes?

I read your post for the first time(after sending you a message). I would go to the dr and get a culture taken from the bumps. To me it doesnt sound like you have herpes. did you have any other symptoms?,chills, body and leg ache, fever, fatigue?

SOMETIMES I FEEL ACHY BUT WHEN I DO FEEL ACHY I USUALLY DON'T HAVE ANY BUMPS OR LEISONS...DO ALL OF THE SYMPTOMS COMEAND GO AT ONE TIME OR DO YOU GET ONE WITHOUTH THE OTHER OR BOTH AT THE SAME TIME?

That could be HSV or a staff infection, allergic reaction... stop killing yourself - go get checked.

Aches, tingling and "flu" symptoms come first, classic prodome, then the outbreak chimes in, then for me, sores & location soreness until the sores heal, then nothing.

The repetition of activity in the one area is what concerns me. Go to the doc - you will feel better knowing. OK?

Good Luck.

it may be shingles

Sweetie, just stop killing yourself over this. Find a plannedparenthood location near you, or go to your city clinic or to the city hospital to get tested if you don't have good insurance. The visit will cost much less.

What you have may well be shingles, also known as herpes zoster. Same virus as chicken pox. Hides in the nerves at the base of your spine for years. Flares up because of stress or other envmtl factors (or even b/c of pregnancy!) Is not sexually transmitted but IS quite contagious. Dangerous if not treated - may result in chronic neuralgic pain. Look at www.shingles.com - check your symptoms against the description on the website.

Don't let this go b/c you might be able to treat this. Don't tell your partner anything if you don't want to, just be careful. Although in my opinion if he's likely to react badly to it he's also probably not a good friend/mate to depend on.
