Hi,

I have HSV-1 on my vigina and on my face.

I was told by a friend to let a lysine tablet to disolve in a small glass of water, then to apply it over the effect area. Anyone ever hear or this? Whats your thoughts of this?

I take 2000mg of l-lysine a day, 1000mg vitaminc and a betacarotene softgel everyday(someone on this site recomended it ty) no ob in 3 months.

I know that Lysine works by improving collagen replacement - read the label - but I'm not sure if a topical use is appropriate. Pills are produced to be taken as pills. I would assume from that that oral consumption would be more effective - otherwise they would make a cream or something.... who knows - vitamin e works orally and topically.... I'd do some research online and see what you can find out.
