I shared a drink, now VERY dry lips

I shared a beer with a friend about 1 month ago. Ever since my lips have been extremely dry and sensitive. I keep putting vaseline on them to help but they never seem to get better. I also have been sick twice since then. Could this be herpes?

Oh yeah, I also get these little pieces of dead lip skin that stick off my lips. They are pretty thin and stick off maybe an 1/8 of an inch. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

how about little tiny faint white spots that seem to appear under the skin of my lips. They don't pop out at all but you can see them through the flesh of my lips if you look really close.

Abab - go see a doc - we can't dignose anything here - we are not doctors... have you gone at all? herpes causes blisters/coldsores - it doesn't sound like that is your issue - but you may have something else - or just irritated skin from you messin with them - who knows - go see the doctor and find out how to fix your problem.
