Antibody Results

Hi everyone,

I am new here and just got the results of my blood work yesterday. I am negative for HSV-2, and positive for HSV-1. The antibody level was 8.71 for HSV-1. I was blown away since I have never even had an outbreak. The Dr and I sat for an hour discussing this together and he asked me if I ever had a cole sore or anything, and I said no the only thing I have ever had on my mouth was a fever blister (total of three times over 10 years) and only when I got really ill. So needless to say, that is HSV-1 and that is why I showed positive. He said that since I only get it every couple of years, it is not anything to be alarmed about, and to be totally honest I am confident that was my only OB's in the past, and it won't be a big deal if I get them again in the future. But I thought I would share my antibody level with you all in hopes that it clarifies for some going through the tests. If anyone else wants to share their levels, I would like to hear from you.
