Valtex-Side Effects

Recommended Posts

I have had herpes for about 15 years. Usually I get an outbreak a month.

I finally got insurance and can afford Valtrex which I hear is the best. I am excited to use it but when I got the bottle it had all kinds of warnings on it about dizzyness and not driving until you get use to the medicine. Did anyone experiance this? I have a 2 year old and have to be on my toes at all time. I am thinking twice about taking it if I am going to be all spaced out or dizzy. What everyone opion on this?

Hi mgirl. I use to get frequent outnbreaks as well. I've been taking valtrex everyday for the last six months. The only side effect I ever experienced was a very slight headache the first three days or so. Absolutely nothing since then.

I've spoken to one person who said she get stomach cramps, but other than that, I don't know of anyone who experienced serious or persistent side effects.

I do worry about my liver/kidneys in the long run though.

blessed

I've had nothing - but the Doc does a liver function test because of it - fine so far - my 3 year old has not been affected at all - she's still a crazy child!!!

Hello...my post regarding relief from a non presription remedy can be found under my user name "tks", With females Im not quite sure if the infections are more external or internal. If they are more external...please read my articles and give it try. Its worked well for me with no side effects. good luck
