Prep for vacation

I am getting ready to go on a weekend vacation in 3 weeks and from what I've read from numerous posts, people usually end up with an ob during or when they get back. While I don't plan on straying from my adjusted diet or daily supplements, I will probably be tired from walking all over the city, possible late nights and a little bit of alcohol to socialize and be "normal" around my friends.

Does anyone have any recommendations or success stories? Someone told me that whenever he goes on a trip, he ups his Lysine intake to 3,000 mg a couple days before and maintain that for the length of his trip. He says that usually works for him.

Anyone else?
