I am so very sorry to hear that. My prayers go out to you. To be honest, in our culture i dont think a musllim man could accept a muslim women with this disease... but dont take it from me, I could be wrong. Theres someone out there for everybody.

Of course you can get married with this condition,

Don't be disheartened Insha Allah.

May Allah guide us all in our difficulties.

Having a terrible time myself right now. Very alone and sad,

Please keep this sister in your duas.

Not blaming you sis...... but, what helps dampen [Make less strong or intense) my despair. is to remind yourself oftentimes the following.......

“Say: 'O My slaves who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” [soorah az-Zumar (39): 53]

(A profound verse. very kaleidoscopic, in substance. view it as you wish? each turn [translation] will display beauty} :-)

Masha Allah. Indeed our creator is most merciful and only uplifts us even after our transgression as long as we turn to Him in repentance in sincerety.

However sis, dont forget that some people do get this virus through ligitimate marriages and no fault of their own although as human beings we are prone to sinning in all apects of our lives. My recent troubles have little to do with herpes but I thought I would ask the forum family to keep me in their duas Insha Allah.

Thankyou for the hadith as it is wonderful to reinforce and remind each other of the beauty of our perfected deen.

Please also keep me in your duas sis.

May Allah swt increase us in imaan and bless us as His faithful servants.

As-Salaamu-Alaikum,

Please do not be discouraged my sister. MANY people marry with this, and Our Lord, unlike His creation, is All Merciful, All Wise, and All Knowing. Be prepared to get some wacky answers to your questions from others InshaAllah, but know that Allah knows best what our future holds, and why we have this, and He may not reveal this in the timely manner that we would like.

I too caught this from my ex-husband, while I was pregnant no less, who committed adultry. It's been 8 or 9 years now, and my children and I are fine and moving along Alhamdullilah. No it's not always easy for me, but I know that Allah "has my back" :). Not everyone was at fault when afflicted with this, and not everyone is doomed who has this. May Allah give us spouses that are best for us, that will take us to Jennah, and may He give us the best patience until then, Ameen. Don't worry, but make lots of duah.

Salam, pls you should not take this as the end of having a marital life, rather look at it as the step before beginning the next one. Insha Allah you'll find someone who's ready, willing and able to spend the rest of their life with you. I'm African working in malaysia and there's a "herpes" group and we all share our stories with each other and there's a guy who actually got it after cheating on his girlfriend and guess what? the girlfriend still decided to be with him, they're soon gonna get married too :) so like i said, don't take this to be the end of it all.. Masalam n have a great week ahead. :)

No diagnosis yet. I haven’t had sex in 3 months, this just popped up yesterday. No warning. I have had sex with 2 men in the last 10 years and they were both this year. One unprotected, we both were tested and negative for everything. No hsv test since neither of us had symptoms. The ulcer is near my clitoris. The only thing I can think of is possibly friction from suction vibrator a couple days before this showed up. Please help, I’m terrified.

Nath kiepsko z twoją nadzieją czarno to widzę.

I have had G-HSV1 for about about a year and a half now. I am a woman who recently started seeing another woman who also has HSV1 but only orally. She has experienced major health anxiety with fear of giving it to other people, as have I, but was wondering if we are completley in the clear because of antibodies or do we still need to be cautious? Does anyone have any articles about this? She is concerned about giving me something oral and I am concerned about giving her something genital so any research or reassurance would be helpful! Also when I got diagnosed I got swab tested and it confirmed I had G-HSV1 and nothing has ever came up orally but is there a possibility I have it orally too and it just has never shown up? Apologies if these are dumb questions in the wrong place but any help would be appreciated.

My apologies is this has already been shared and discussed, but I saw that Fred Hutch is making some headway in the Epstein Barr/ mononucleosis /Herpes 4 research!!    https://www.fredhutch.org/en/news/center-news/2020/06/epstein-barr-virus-antibody.html Another study I read (& can't find again) shows that the presence of another virus in the body enhances HSV. That's why an OB occurs when we get a cold or flu, not just a basic drop in immune function. So, I'm thinking that this could be true also if someone has several herpes viruses 😓

Hi Cas9. I requested this test on my own in a laboratory, because I was having pain and burning in my penis glans (without having any lesion visible).  I've talked to my doctors, and they say that I shouldn't worry, that this is something normal in the population. In short, none of them have suggested any other tests. In this post I explained what has been happening to me. Regardless of what is causing me this discomfort (which has been going on for more than 5 months) according to the test I am a carrier of the virus. Now what should I do in my relationships? Telling girls something like....  hey look I can't kiss you because I have herpes but I don't know where it is..... Its awful... man
