Vaginal Discharge

Recommended Posts

ScaredNConfused98

I have not been diagnosed with Herpes yet because I am still waiting on my doctors appointment which is in 2 days. But i am almost 100 percent sure what I have is Herpes.

Before the sores showed up I had the headache & fever and then the next day i had several open, deep sores. I have been doing the baths, vitamins, and applying witch hazel on my open sores. It seems like everyday i have a new small blister or open sore(not deep) somewhere on my vagina. Is it possible that i could be spreading them to different parts of my vagina or is that normal during the course of an outbreak to have new sores just appear as the old ones are healing?

Another annoying issue I have is increased vaginal discharge. I understand that you need to keep the sores dry as possible so they can heal faster but with this discharge CONSTANTLY dripping and leaking on to the sores I feel like they will never heal. I have tried to put a light tampon in to stop the discharge and keep the area dry but when i tried to put the tampon in i realized i was very sore internally also so i couldnt put it in. Has any females experienced increased discharge leaking onto their sores and slowing down the healing process.. and what did you do about it?

yes i have experienced discharge and constant raw burning painful feeling internally. definitely do not put anything in there....no tampons. i had these symptoms a year before i was diagnosed with H. i just let it run its coarse. i often took a pain killer because the feeling was too much to bare. ask your doctor when you go to your next appointment.

this virus is the WORST!!! I hate myself for having this. Good luck.

Smithconfused - dont hate yourself for having H - its to far out - OK!?

However the circumstances related your infection by H doesnt matter - it doesnt make you a bad person to be infected - it doesnt make you somebody different to whom you were before getting infected - you are OK! - you are a good person; - follow the goals and the path you were on before getting H infected and your life will get good again - believe I do this and it works - forget about H! Makes no sense to think about....even you OB - treat it with meds and forget it....surpress the pain - surpress everything that has to do with H and it will vanish from your life. Be open and calm about your condition and life will turn normal.

Trust me!

Almost certainly that is not herpes. There are a number of diseases that can cause your symptoms, not all of them infectious. If you haven't done so already, go see a doctor as soon as you can.

Seems likely that you had an asymptomatic infection and now you are having very mild recurrences. Asymptomatic infection is by far the most common case, in particular for HSV1 positive people. It could be a genital reinfection with HSV1, unlikely, or most likely a new HSV2 infection, there is no way to tell without a blood test. It's been long enough for an IGG test but don't bother testing for HSV1, you can already assume you are positive and have been for most of your life. I don't know about how it is where you live, but where I live I don't need to ask any doctor to get tested, I can just go into a clinical lab and order the test for €40. If your test returns negative for HSV2, don't worry about putting her at any risk regarding HSV1, she will have the same risk from anyone else. Acyclovir cream won't do any good, you should stop it (it increases the risk of getting an acyclovir resistant strain). Otherwise, your recurrences are so mild and far apart that it isn't worth it to do any treatment for now, so don't be scared about your health, chances are it'll get better with time. Doing a little research, it seems that Amenamevir  and Pritelivir are definitely not chemically identical. How similar are these drugs really?

I have been working out regularly after being diagnosed in may with ghsv1.  First 3 weeks were awful but haven’t had any OB, symptoms at all since.  I also haven’t been eating as healthy as I should be.  Feel like I never had it. Hope it stays this way.  I think working out helps.  Just my view so far.

Based on current HIV treatment, I would imagine they will create a one-pill combo of pritelivir and valtrex and sell it as a daily pill. But once a week pritelivir + valtrex might also work in the meantime.
