Hi,

I found out that I have genetal herpes two months ago. I have been very angry and hurt. I remember when the doctor told me I cried, but after that I just felt angry and betraied. I had a feeling that my boyfriend was cheating on me and well herpes was the proof and the outcome of his infidelaty. 7 faithful years of my life I gave to him and this is my pay back. We are no longer together. I can never trust him. What if he cheats again? How about this time he gives me AIDS? I couldn't take that chance. I would rather live the rest of my life alone than take another risk with that man. He has ruined me forever!!! I know that my feelings will pass and I will get back to living, but I just can't help the way I feel right now.

Hello there. I've been diagnosed just 3 days ago...

did your ex really cheat? Is it proven? It's a myth that once you're diagnosed w/ HSV, your partner is automatically cheating. Maybe he doesn't know he has it too? But I understand your feelings. I've been there... and still in there, actually. Let's just take care of ourselves better this time... and there's a good reason why this is happening to us. Maybe we're meant to be stronger than others. We'll get through this emotional hooplah one step at a time...

Cheer up :) Your life isn't over yet, beautiful things are yet to come. :)
