It sounds like they're motoring along, trying to milk this drug for everything it's worth, and I say go, go, go! Yes, herpes simplex is referred to in this press release.

Cure Coming Soon

This is what I like to read.

Peregrine and its collaborators have already secured over $60 million in research funding to evaluate the

potential of the company's PS-targeting platform in a wide range of viral

infections, and Peregrine researchers believe there is significant potential

for additional applications of the technology in other infectious diseases.

It's a gel

I like a pill that gets into my system but hell if I find something I can rub on that makes the Herpes go away for a week--then bring it on!!

Y'know, it does refer to them looking into "topical" preventatives for stds. However, bavituximab is a drug, not a topical. It was designed for cancers and some viruses, and we're hoping that it will be effective against herpes. Theoretically, it should be, but who knows....they are not doing clinical trials for herpes, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be prescribed for it, and/or that they won't do clinical trials for it later.

They are doing clinical trials for cmv, which is another virus in the herpes family.

I just thought it was a postive sign that they've appointed a special virus group. They're trying to maximize the drug's potential, so they're going after anything that will bring them money, which is good for us.

In some ways, this drug is the best bet for us. It's broad-spectrum, so it has a lot of support. Also, a lot of times the cure for something turns out to be a combination of different drugs, adn perhaps this will be one of them. For example, I would think this would be an excellent complement to Dr. Cullen's work. (He refers to using acylovir, but if bavituximab actually works as it's supposed to, it would be much better.)

It’s really scary and depressing to find out you have this virus. When I found out, last Wednesday, I went through the emotions and the pain of a severe breakout (8 in total, all in separate spots). Today, almost a week later, I can finally move without wanting to scream. My best friends, during this time, were my detachable shower head, Naproxen, and Lidocaine 5% cream. (If you do not have a detachable shower head I recommend one or get a Peri Bottle. They help for keeping clean and for pain relief) Just as everyone here, we want this to be over with. The pain to go away. To feel “normal” again. I’ve researched and read everything I could get ahold of. Then I read about Monolaurin. It's a substance that's derived from lauric acid that is found in coconut oil and human breast milk. It supposedly helps immensely with our virus from hell!  I read that this woman started using it and she hasn’t had a break out in 2 years AND when she does feel one coming on she doubles up on her dose and BOOM, it’s gone! I ordered some off of Amazon and can’t wait for it to get here! What can it hurt, right? Seriously, what do we have to lose (besides a breakout, hopefully!) Here’s some info if you have never heard of it and want to know more. Good luck and keep your head up!   https://www.verywellhealth.com/the-benefits-of-monolaurin-89482

To be fair it would be hard to prove, you could have an oral infection for years before

No they will stay anonymous due to not wanting them to be outed no doubt. That's if anything goes further cause it will be hard to prove damages hsv wise surely.

I am doing this, but also taking other supplements at the same time. I drink a ton of water so it's easy to have lemon water on hand. I am on week 2 now.
