Told some random I have it

Recommended Posts

Sooo my gf kept leaving me alone at a bar tonight while she was looking for weed. Some gay guy danced with me which was awesome but then some other guy kept hitting on me. I finally ditched him but then when I was leaning towards the entrance he was bugging me. I finally was like "yeah, well, i have herpes so you may not want to touch me" and he was like "uhhh...really" and the look on his face was so priceless. So disgusted and shattered. and I was like "ya, see ya" and left.

It was just a shitty night and reaffirmed to me how randoms will never think my situation is okay. I feel like the fattest, ugliest, most disgusting creature to ever walk the planet.

Ps. and the guy who made me this disgusting doesnt even want to sleep with me. Awesome.

I bet if you took that guy home and said to him "Before we have sex I think you should know that I have herpes. However, if we use protection there's a very slim chance you'll get it," he probably would have been up for sex.

Sorry you're feeling upset. I think you should try and date like you were before you were diagnosed and not let the herpes thing bother you until you want to have sex.

Oh I am eating Smartfood and Lindt chocolate in my pajamas and am going to watch a comfort movie quite soon. Happy as a clam right now!

ps. I had forgotten about Mystic Pizza! I might rent that tonight actually.

And Now18 - yeah, you're right. Maybe he would have. Altho I didnt even want to sleep with him or any of the other guys there, thats so not the way I am. I get like that occasionally though and then the next day I'm like ew even if I didnt have herpes or if you wanted to I wouldnt even want you. Yetttt, when I'm drunk and in a slump I dwell on it. Very annoying.

I also know I'm not fat or ugly by any stretch - its like I become a whole different person when the booze goes bad  I hate it!!

Oh well though, it hadnt happened in a while that I felt like that and I'm hoping that eventually those nights will never happen.

Thanks girls for your responses xo

I was walking down the street one time after having picked up herpes pills from the drugstore, and this buck-toothed monstrosity kept bothering me. Here was our discourse:

BTM: "Excuse me, I think you are beautiful. Can I have your number?"

CYB: "No, I have an STD."

BTM: "OH, oh, you have an STD. Okay."

We moved away from each other, but he kept looking at me from the other side of the road. It's a great line to use, even if you don't have anything.

Well, I do have this guy friend that knows of my situation and still wants to sleep with me. We're not dating or anything, it's more of a booty call. One time he was ready to go, and I wasn't. I didn't feel right. I wanted to be with someone serious than just a booty call. But it was there if I wanted it.

So, I dunno, some guys don't care. I was surprised of him knowing my situation and still was like, "whenever you want it..." Depends on the guy. Telling random strangers is kind of strange. Like, what if someone said they had cancer or AIDS or something else when you first met them? You'd be weirded out too.

I agree your post was very well written. I think I was speaking from more of a GHSV1 perspective as it relates to the oral virus so many carry and spread.   I too, before being diagnosed, was small minded and ignorat about herpes. But I believe it had to do with the way I was brought up. Looking back now I want to say it was because of my experience in college. I went to ASU, we are absolutely known for partying and STI’s. I was heavily involved in Greek life, and bascially if one person found out you had herpes your life was changed  socially and romantically. You were the girl/ guy on campus with herpes. A bunch of little 18-22 year old shits who didn’t give a flying F if you said HSV1 or HSV2. It was herpes. That’s all they were known for. Surrounding schools found out and people from your hometown found out. Maybe my generation sucks but that’s extremely sickening to witness and go through.  I now work in marketing with a bunch of people my age and older. There is a guy who disclosed and was open about herpes to a lot of us in the office and again, he was just known as the herpes guy. And no, not by me but grown adults with real jobs and education. Most likely those adults statistically had some strain of it too. But again these are my experiences. I know they are wrong now but who knows when the rest of the world will catch up.

Some more good news on crispr! Restoring cells to an uninfected state once a virus is destroyed. https://phys.org/news/2018-09-cells-uninfected-state-virus.amp Now if only they could remove this virus from each of us and fix the effective cells would be no longer a dream!

But don’t you have an oral HSV-1 infection? Condoms don’t protect against that?

Give it a try and report back to us. It's pretty safe vaccine approved by the FDA.
