Devastated but looking on the positive side now

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I have just been clinically diagnosed to have genital herpes 2 days ago. It started with prodrome and I didn't suspect anything until i saw the ulcer popping out. Now I had 4 sores. I contracted this through unprotected oral sex and it was something that i can't look back and unwind.

I am on Valtrex pills and Acyclovir cream now. I am also taking b-complex, echinacea, garlic, ACV, spirulina and chorella, with the hope to boost my immune system and suppress the virus.

I have just ordered Dynamiclear, Lysine and Immune Support. So I hope this will also help to reduce and minimize as I do not plan to take valtrex daily.

The doctor told me to go for a blood test after 4 weeks to confirm if it is HSV1 or 2.

Can I do it after 2 weeks? Will there be any difference?

Can I get cold sores or mouth ulcers in a later stage?

Has anybody read this book from Dr. David Hogg? Is it good? I can't find any comments on this in the forum.

I am planning to go for a diet regimen but am clueless. I have gone through some sites for food to eat and avoid. For now, vitamins and herbal supplements will be my first line of defense. Positive thinking and reduce stress is also one of them.

I have also bought Epsom salt but i do not know how much to put for an amount of water. Please advise.

I am a married man and I have not informed my wife about it yet as i am travelling for 2 weeks. I can sense her hurt, dissapointment and frustration. Wish me luck in 2 weeks and should our relationship come to an end; this forum, my parents and God shall be my solace.

I am from Malaysia and I am not sure if there is anybody in this forum from here too. H is like a taboo here and probably difficult to find support group. This forum shall probably be my friend.

If your eye was affected by HSV you'd be in intense pain and you'd be in the hospital on an antiviral drip.  It is likely a coincidence of timing, and something that you shouldn't overthink.  Definitely worth getting checked anyway since the eye is a sensitive area.

Hey all. I had an STD check while pregnant with my now 3 yo and it was perfectly clean, hadn’t had another one until a few months ago   I was sexually assulted about 4 months ago. Because of that I asked for all STD testing. My first HSV 2 IGG score came back at 4.00, I requested another 2 weeks later and it’s now a 3.22 IGG. Should I take this as for sure positive or would it warrant a WB at all? Is it normal for numbers to go down like that?   Ive had NO symptoms whatsoever, at any time     Also, condoms, guys what are the best ones that feel as natural as possible?? Any ideas?
