Looking for Lysine Supplement

Recommended Posts

abe1976

I read the what is Lysine link on the right and would like to find a good Lysine supplement that can provide the recommended dose, be natural, and preferably have Vitamin C, Bioflavonoids and Zinc, be affordable, and not have to be taken more than twice a day. Anyone know of a good supplement, or combination of supplements that fit this description? I am a vegan and realized that my diet must be high in Arginine, and from what I read here my diet may be causing me to have more outbreaks, so I think taking Lysine combination will be very helpful.

Check out the Dynamiclear link on the right side of this page. They have a lysine combination pill that is reasonable. And if you put in the code listed on this site in the comments on the order form, you get a 10% discount for being a member of this site.

Lysine

Also, your local health food store probably carry Quantum Health brand Lysine.

Thanks. That look like exactly the pill that is recommended by this website. It has all the ingredients recommended and in the right dosage. Do I take 2 pills at the same time once per day, or 1 pill twice per day?

I use Quantum Health - Super Lysine Plus, they are aweson, the best Lysine pills that I've taken before. They are great for herpes. They are only 6 bucks from this website... http://www.luckyvitamin.com/item/itemKey/52413?iorb=4764&utm_source=yahooss&utm_medium=yss&utm_campaign=yss

Thanks for the link. Do you know if this the natural Lysine and vitamin c or synthetic? It has a number of ingredients, but does not contain Zinc, which this site recommends. Also, do you know if it contains bioflavonoids?

You say it is the best Lysine pills you have taken before. Have you tried the pills recommended above by Justmyself?

What are the added benefits of the extra herbal ingredients in this product?

Cvs

I just purchased 100 pills 1000mg of L-Lysine at CVS for 8.99. Those pills are huge.

Has anyone tried Olive Leaf? My multi-vitamin has C, B and Zinc, so I'm pretty well covered on that one.

Just a side-note to anyone taking Lysine pills out there... I had to go with vegetarian-friendly Lysine tablets (by NOW, found on Amazon) because some of the Lysine-combination herpes therapy pills have licorice, which can affect my birth control pills.

Now I take the NOW 100% L-Lysine powder. A one-pound bottle is like $10, and there are 822, 552mg doses, I take 2 doses once a day and it lasts forever. I believe it has lessened the frequency and severity of my outbreaks.

Do you shop at Amazon.com? Next time you shop, you can also automatically donate a portion of the proceeds to the Colorado Alphaherpesvirus Latency Society.  This Society organizes the symposium on latency of herpes viruses.  It was here that Keith Jerome announced that he had edited almost 20%-30% of latent HSV in mice last year. (http://www.ucdenver.edu/academics/colleges/medicalschool/departments/neurology/CALS/Documents/2018 CALS abstracts.pdf) You have to go through smile.amazon.com to set up ongoing donations whenever you shop through smile.amazon.com. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Yes, I understand that I must always start at smile.amazon.com to support Colorado Alphaherpesvirus Latency Society. Why is there a separate URL? The AmazonSmile program offers customers a new benefit, making a donation to your favorite charity. We're able to provide this benefit to you when you choose to start your shopping at smile.amazon.com in part because we expect AmazonSmile to grow primarily through word of mouth instead of paid advertising—and this enables us to fund donations to our customers’ favorite organizations.

WOW, it's true.  So cool!  Thanks for sharing. In my view, for the time being, we can just help support the Colorado Alphaherpesvirus Latency Society, rather than asking Fred Hutch to set something up through Amazon.   Here is an important message though, you have to go through smile.amazon.com to do the donation.
