Scared And Sad

Recommended Posts

Guest LuLu May

So I just found out I have hvs2. I'm really scared about it cuz now I also have herpes whitlow. Hurts like hell. The sore is in my nail bed. I can't seem to get it to heal up. I also had two small bumps show up lower on the same finger. I'm scared of spreading it to other parts of my body. Does anyone else have whitlow?? I need some help understanding it. I can't stop crying. I could live with genital but with the whitlow, will I ever be able to touch my face again? Some advice please. LuLu May:sadfacetoday:

You are not alone!

Hey LuLu,

You are not alone. I can personally relate because, I too, have herpes whitlow.

As far as hsv-2, i got that too, but i will tell you this about herpes, it's only a skin condition like any other non life threatening one.

You are body will build antibodies after several OBs on your fingure and soon you will have less outbreak.

As far Hsv-2, same principle, antibodies will build to lower the frequency rate of OBs and having a healthy diet is your ammo.

You too can fight herpes just like the rest of us.

P.S.

We have a live chatroom for anyone to come in, share their thoughts and have support.

I'm so glad to hear someone else with the same thing!! What do you do about not spreading it to the rest of your body? I've read some web stuff where mom's wear gloves all the time. Can I spread it even if it's not broke out? I'm scared I'm gonna get it in my eye since us girls wear makeup and all. Anything you can tell me that has made it better or heal faster? :wavey:

Just to be on the safe side, i just use my right hand more to wash my face, not really a big deal.

Only time anything can happen is during viral shedding, but it depends. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Is it your right or left finger?

If your eye was affected by HSV you'd be in intense pain and you'd be in the hospital on an antiviral drip.  It is likely a coincidence of timing, and something that you shouldn't overthink.  Definitely worth getting checked anyway since the eye is a sensitive area.

Hey all. I had an STD check while pregnant with my now 3 yo and it was perfectly clean, hadn’t had another one until a few months ago   I was sexually assulted about 4 months ago. Because of that I asked for all STD testing. My first HSV 2 IGG score came back at 4.00, I requested another 2 weeks later and it’s now a 3.22 IGG. Should I take this as for sure positive or would it warrant a WB at all? Is it normal for numbers to go down like that?   Ive had NO symptoms whatsoever, at any time     Also, condoms, guys what are the best ones that feel as natural as possible?? Any ideas?
