I don't have herpes???

Recommended Posts

so I was tested for anti-bodies once before...

and at the time I tested negative.

The doctor and I thought it was most likely a fluke, and I continued with acyclovir etc.

I've just had another really bad outbreak, so I visited the doctor and he took a culture as well as another blood test to find hsv antibodies....

...and AGAIN both the blood test and the culture are NEGATIVE for hsv.

now what?

he says they could be larger than normal canker sores?

or perhaps related to an immune disorder/rheumatoid issue?

at least this explains would explain why the anti-virals were not having any effect whatsoever.

I am really lost. I am more confused than ever, and really don't know how to feel about this.

Cankers your only issues???

I have had seriously chronic canker sores my entire life. I've never had any cold sores or any other issues yet I now tested positive for hsv2 lonnnnggg after getting cankers. I am certain I am asymptomatic and my cankers had nothing to do with the diagnosis when comparing to the facts( I've read a ton). You most likely have been dealing with a great amount of stress and trust me, that can result in cankers. They are caused by sooo many other issues besides herpes. If you're that worried then get tested. I'm pretty sure you're fine.

When who gets a positive test? I have already tested positive (as you and I have discussed multiple times in other threads and I state here) and HIPA would prevent me for getting his results unless he willingly provides to me, but as I’ve also stated HE won’t get tested.  Ya can’t get blood from a stone. He has nothing that would even start to compensate for the pain and suffering, let alone the missed work because of the pain!

@Balancelife when you get a positive test, sue him!

Read what I wrote and start Googling.  Both the Einstein College of Medicine (William Jacobs and Betsy Herold)  and University of Pennsylvania/Trivalent (Harvey Friedman) seem to believe they are on the right track and have established relationships outside of their respective universities.  Yes, it’s early, but they are taking the bat and readying to swing at HSV.   Cross those fingers and stay positive!

Where ever you are trolling, I’ll be right there.

Fingers crossed!! Could you elaborate a bit on the research or maybe post a link to it? Definitely could be a little light in the dark 🙂
