A question for men about GHSV

Recommended Posts

Tandy

I contracted GHSV 1 from my husband after 28 years of marriage. Mine showed up as a new infection and since I had not been with anyone, we took him to be tested. His came back positive for it as well, but as an old infection. He has NEVER had any outbreaks, bumps, sores or anything in all these years and can't remember ever having any. BUT, as I have been thinking about this and noticing my prodrome symptoms, I was reminded that over the years his sack would hurt and his penis would itch. He would tell me about it and say he wondered why it was doing that, but it would only last about a day or two and then go away. Do you men do this before an outbreak? I'm thinking that that may be the answer to as to why he has this occassional itch and pain down there.

Yes I feel a tingling and itchy sensation one or two days before I show symptoms on my junk. So you're guess is probably right. And GHSV-1 is not as severe as GHSV-2 so its not surprising that your husband hasn't recognized the symptoms or had no other noticeable symptoms.
