Transmission

I was involved in a sexual encounter where she rubbed her genitals on my penis. I did not notice any sores. Vaginal fluid was left on my testicles. Is it possible to transmit this way. I have one sore that has developed and it has a dull ache but seems to be dissipating.

Hi,

Herpes is most often spread from person to person through sexual contact. It cannot spread through the air. diresct skin contact that contains heat and moisture is necessary for herpes transmission. Herpes can be spread in so many ways including oral, vaginal and anal sex. But herpes can also present on the skin sorrounding the genital area and can also spread the virus skin-to-skin contact in this area. You can also be spread the herpes virus, but not have any signs or symptoms at all.

This is called viral shedding. It's important to know that transmission of the herpes virus can occur in heterosexual and homosexual relationships

All the best.

Regards ...

Jameson

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
