Hi my names paige, and im sixteen. I was diagnosed with herpes in July of 2010. It has been very hard on me. I am a virgin and I have hsv1 in my genital area. I got it from the boy I thought I loved, when in all reality I was just in lust. This has affected me so much, to the point I wanted to kill myself. The person who gave it to me left me, he doesnt care what he did, he doesnt have any remorse, either does his family. They think its okay. Its not okay, its so hard on me knowing I have the disease for the rest of my life. Im on a medication called valtrex to help with the outbreaks. I take one everyday. The OBs are so painful. Ive only had one, and it was the worst thing ive ever been through. My mother knows as well as a few of my family members. I am still in highschool and if this would get out that I have herpes I will be ruined. Ive had a very tough life, but im thankful for who and what I have in my life. Im sixteen, a virgin, with herpes. Something sounds so wrong about that. Please reach out to me, and help me learn to me okay with this. Thank you so much.

I'm glad I read in another thread that you are over the thoughts of suicide, because herpes certainly is not worth it. There are many, many others out here with the same condition, and they are living proof that you can live a life that is pretty much exactly as you would without herpes. You can have relationships, love, marriage, kids, dogs, picket fences and mortgages...the whole shebang.

When I was a kid, oral sex was considered a big deal. Now kids look at it like it isn't anything. But that's just wrong.

I said before that this is so sad. Of course, it is sad you now have HSV so young.

But what is really, really sad to me is that so many kids your age do not know that oral is sex. They don't know that when you have oral, that you have had sex. Even though you have not been penetrated by a boy's penis, you have had sex. You are not a virgin. You kids need to know that. I'm sorry nobody told you before it happened.

The other thing so many kids don't understand is that you can get sexually transmitted infections through oral, just like you did. And they also don't think about the fact that once your panties are off and you are enjoying those feelings, it is really easy for things to move on to penetrative sex too, with all the things that go along with that.

You know what you could do? You could let all your girlfriends know that oral is sex, and it can sometimes have consequences. They could end up with the same situation as you, because just like you, they didn't know. Or they could end up with a guy who pushes them to do other stuff that they might not have planned on. They could end up pregnant or with a worse STI or a lot of things. You could do all your friends a solid by letting them know the truth. You don't have to tell them what happened to you, just that it happened to someone you know, maybe.

In the meantime, you just need to know that it will be okay. I'm sorry that boy is a jerk, and so is his family. And I'm sorry you have to go through this tough time right now. But you stick around here, talk to us, yell and scream if you want, but most of all learn how to manage it. You will be okay. :wavey:

Ok first thing is that something like this is not a reason to die. You are young and have a wonderful life ahead of you! I am newly diagnosed with GHSV2 and am reminding myself it's only a skin condition, I am reminding myself there are worse things and there are! I understand your feelings though. There are great people on this site that will really help you see that this is not the end of your world. Big hugs to you.... :flowers:

I know that you are heartbroken about this boy and yes this is a crap situation for you, BUT I am telling you sweetie you will have many boyfriends in your life that will come and go and you WILL look back and see it's not as bad as it feels right now. It's always harder when you are in the middle of it. (I am 38 and have gone through some ugly things in life which gives me some perspective.) Bad things happen to good people but you will be okay, in fact you will be stronger for going through it. No one on this site wants to have herpes but all are living with it, working, dating, getting married, having kids, living life!

So I am assuming he gave you oral sex and that is how you got this right? Know that you are not the only teenager who is going through this I have heard about this exact situation again and again and at a young age like you.

Do your parents know about this? I hope that you are able to tell them and they are supportive. I know I would want my kids to feel like they could confide in me and I hope you can do that with your parents.

For now just take care of you, stay healthy, spend time with friends, do positive things that make you happy.

Thank you so much, this made me cry. Im so glad I found this website so I can share and also begin to help people. When Im older and more content with the situation I would like to start a help group in my area for teens.

And to audra, Yes my mother knows. My father isnt in my life, so he does not. My mom has been very very supportive and I could not have asked for a better mother. Thank you very much for being there for me. I really believe that this site can help me.

      Hello "NerdP423"..... well, you've certainly covered all your bases as it relates to testing for herpes.  And without question, the answer is clearly "No" you do not have HSV2.  Two Western blots and multiple swabs and IgG tests are all telling you the same thing... you don't have HSV2.  Also, almost all your symptoms are not remotely related to herpes.  I have not heard of anyone taking over a year, in spite of multiple testing, before they finally come up positive.... it makes no sense. I fear you may be obsessing on this virus and have somehow convinced yourself you have it.... despite your myriad of testing that says otherwise.  You need to try and calm your mind down as it relates to this virus.  If the symptoms you listed are still of concern, you should pursue answers from a doctor but, pushing for an HSV2 answer makes no sense at this point..... I hope you get some clarification on your symptoms but, again, you clearly already have your answer as it relates to HSV2.   Best of luck.

      Hi "Janiewayne"..... I'm sorry you got some not so good news regarding the virus but, glad you found this site.  How were you tested for the virus?  Was it a PCR swab of a sore/lesion?  It would be too soon to have an IgG antibody test if you believe your infection may have occurred as a result of the one night stand only a month ago.  Do you have a copy of the results yet?  Can you upload a copy so we can look it over.... sometimes things are misinterpreted so, it can't hurt to have others look over the results to be sure you have accurate results.  Have you had sores/lesions?  How soon after your sexual encounter?  Did they also test you for HSV1?  If so, what was that result. I know it's very unsettling (to put it mildly) at this stage.... but, I assure you, it will get better.  Never underestimate your ability to adapt to a new situation even if it's less than an ideal situation.  It is a relatively innocuous virus and only occasionally manifests and causes you any symptoms.... which can typically be drastically controlled with antivirals. I hope you will share your results and we can get an accurate accounting of what is going on.... take care for now.... one step at a time.

      Silly kids.  I find cheap healthy fix.  Fixes immune system.  Safe effective. .  I'm 20 years into health movement.  I finaly see it . Found doctor who gives free information.  Actually saves lives .  Seen best forgetting medicines. Works same as new doctors iv therapy's.    You have to fix your immune system.. no vaccine will do it. It injures immune system.   I know how to fix intestines . Gotta heal and plump thicken up.   Chasing money mans dreams buying deadly vaccines. no way vaccine will help you.   Need nutrion and raw milk diet or need like Gerson therapy diet... lots grapes can work . Actually grapes and raw milk best fir intestines...  milk make sick first cause it's detoxing bad bugs and body getting out of body.  Be healthier after words... only thing I know combat uossy stomach indigestion fast or drink to prevent eating junk is raw milk.   Intestines get thin dry up.  Milk plumps you back up.   Organs intestines new blood .     I got books on it from doctors... once in a while vaccines can trigger immune system to recognize fight cancer.   Any jabs specially covid jabs paralyze part of immune system then get cancer other problems.  Set disease free vs fighting it...       If you knew how they rig trials to pass drugs . If new I think Monsanto runs fda now.   Old ceo presidents of big pharma retire then work for fda.  They pass deadly drugs get sued.  Rename it then give bad drugs to people. very evil man...   stem cells better option.    I forget can find dive chambers.   Cheap hyperbaric oxygen chamber .  Push oxygen all through body juices and cells...  that should help.. heals old wounds and brain as well ... so cant lose there.  Can kill bugs viruses just sitting in a tank.  Do it for week or 3 days at a time.   Be around 250 a dive.   Best new medicine I've scene . New technology is to expensive.  45 grand but worth it if in Car accident brain injuries on wheel chair.  It get you walking again in few weeks.  Any way good luck. Where I would go and forget vaccines.  Eugenics people still exist.  They into medicines and vaccines.  Get educated you stay away from there medicines if you can. Lol.

      I only came back to help people . Sex is bad get married .  Go get 50 zinc pills,  vitamin A 10 000 and D3 5000.  Take 1 A and 2 D3 with a zinc .  You be way better.  From modern medicine with real doctor and hospital.   Build killer white t cells. They can kill viruses... cells get thicker and slippery so hard to infect and contain infection .  You feel better tate away .  Out breaks be way better . Even quicker to no smells they can create . .  Fights it inside the body ... when it comes out body attack kill it ... in year might be no more out breaks . 6 months you see huge difference most likely...  best medicine backed by science.  Cheap effective...  zinc is just chemistry thing. Keeps mouth cleaner killing bugs . Helps prevent catching things through mouth juices slime... just chemistry virus ant gonna like being around.    That simple.  Your lucky I came back ...  doctor has virus killing iv therapy he uses from 1930s from Germany.  Old family practice from his  grand father  at least. Got all medical records of old treatments that work . He has modern stuff and figured out tricks to get success.  His kid take over after he is done . Can even take your blood add oxygen and vitamins and regenerate knee joints and treat arthritis.     Your lucky day man.   Like 30 bucks and have have around 2 months pills .  Cheap it work for everybody.   Pharma pills not even close.  Good luck ... 20 years looking at things . I got books on old best medicines treatments vegan to milk ... better today's treatments mist the time .  Very exciting .  Low vitamin d immune system don't work.  Run from vaccines unless think got rabies.   Vaccines kill you if low on vitamin d .. lol.   Gotta have immune system to fight vaccine to make antibodies...  old doctor said only people got cancer was vaccinated people.   Back when doctors could have a say and not moderated.  Lol.

      Gotta fix intestines to improve immune system.  That is grass fed raw milk ...  all there magic potions will always compromise your immune system...  you just need 2 vitamins and a mineral . Better out than injected into your blood stream infecting you...  just take building blocks.  Body fights it 24 hours a day .  After year you be almost cured . Lot better . 2 years might be no problems.    Never trust big pharma.  They selling expensive products.  Thay dont work usually.   I only came back cause I actually found doctor free advice . Doctor saved lives from bugs viruses.  Regular doctors left them to die period .  Exciting man. I be more excited but I got other problems and damages.  Lol. I figured it out.   Be fool to try virus iv as well.  It can fix immune system problems cause body attacks virus but it attacks you in process...  taken me about 20 years.  Finally put it all together...   vitamin d  is low you die of covid or col flu .  You hardly get sick or catch anything if vitamin d is high enough...  vitamin d is low your immune system don't work or not good enough .  Guess what happens if got a safe vaccine regular cold? If low on vitamin d  your immune system cant fight the vaccine and build immunity.  You may die in few days or week... vaccine cant even work unless you have healthy immune system... lol.  Vitamin d deficiency...  add vitamin a and d3.  Cell walls get thicker and slippery . Hard to infect and contains infection ...   pretty cool man ...  everybody is low on vitamin d in winter.  We get colds and flu season.  Not enough sun shine ... simple world made complicated... doctor backed what I am saying with patients testimony he saved treating other bugs viruses.   Take care ...
