Please take the time to sign this free, anonymous petition that focuses on adding jobs to the US economy by finding a cure to herpes.

Over 800 emails so far. Hopefully, they will go a long way in swaying Congress and the NIH to fund HSV research. Further, Bloom/Cullen are applying in early 2011 so the timing is good.

Please keep them going in any way you can think of!

Please help me drive traffic to these petitions! I have listed them everywhere i can think of (yahoo herpes groups, google groups, raccoon, etc). If you can think of any other sites/ways to increase traffic to these sites, please let me know!!

Let's get over 1500 emails sent out before cullen/bloom submit their grant!

People want a cure then please make an effort to for a change! Many people choose not to donate for several reasons. So, if you're in this situation then PLEASE take the time and sign all the petitions that will help raise awareness to increase funding for herpes researches. This is the only way we will see a cure. Money will either get things rolling or stop the researches all together. Money is crucial to determining if a cure will ever come about. So, by raising awareness and putting this on congresses front door step will help end our nightmare. ALSO ENCOURAGE FRIENDS, COWORKERS, AND FAMILY TO HELP RAISE AWARENESS AS WELL BY SIGNING ALL THE PETITIONS. Many people will simply sign these petitions out of respect and love for you. Together is how a change will occur! We are a community that needs to be heard. No longer should we live in emotional and physical distress over a virus that scientist are now capable of curing. Let's get those fingers typing!

Thanks Dinki... We are up to 870 emails that have been sent. Let's keep it going. As I was driving tonight I got to thinking about the people in Haiti. I really feel for them and realize they need help. The US helps like no one else. On the flip side, the US has probably 100 million people suffering with hsv1 and 2. Most suffer in silence. You don't see us on TV and guess what, hsv1/2 gets no funding!

The moral of the story... We've got to be seen or heard. I realize not everyone wants to put their face out there, but we sure to heck can put our names (even anonymously) on these petitions! Please help keep them going by posting on blogs, etc... We need a BUNCH of signatures...

Since facebook is everyone's way of communicating these days, it's best we try to post these links all over facebook. I posted three of these petitions on University of Florida and Duke University facebook pages. Then probably another 20-30 facebook pages over a few day span. You can only post so many until it stops you. Then you have to wait another day and start searching for more facebook pages to post the links. I swear this has to be working. I think this is the next best step to raising awareness. I know many people are scared to let anyone see them posting these links all over facebook, but we have to put an end to this nightmare. It's terrible that thousands of people are socially withdrawling from society because of the emotional and physical pain this virus causes. PLEASE DONT GIVE UP! WE NEED TO BE HEARD! (If one of those people at NIH was infected with this virus they would understand our pain.) TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A CHANGE!

I signed! But I was the first from Mass. to do so....come on people! You can make a fake name! This is the first step, and the step where we can participate. So many people suffer from hsv, and do it quietly. Awareness, awareness, awareness! We've made it to 900 - exactly. VisionsBlue, thanks for signing. I didn't see a signature from you on the Change.org petition, but maybe it just hasn't shown up yet... Thanks for signing. Let's all take it one step further - please help me to perptetuate these on the internet by listing them anywhere and everywhere you think someone is looking that has the words "herpes", "hsv1" or "hsv2".

We've got to deliver a POWERFUL message to Washington to be heard. Simply reading this or even replying won't help. Sign and help post these online. It's free and only takes a little time... If we could at least get the Aicuris drug on the market in a couple of years and the Antigenics vaccine (therapeutic) 3 or 4 years later lives would be radically changed! It would be "almost" like not having herpes...

So, to stop ranting, sign, encourage others to sign and post on any blogs you can think of. I have hit the Yahoo! groups up some this week. If anyone can think of others, please do. We need to keep this rocking and rolling.

My senator contacted in regards of increasing herpes funding. I will copy and post it in a new forum as soon as I get home from work. I'm pleased with his response! Very pleased at that. Remember when we start refering to tax dollars this highly interests our government. With 172 billion dollars being spent on Alzheimer's is huge reason for the government to start looking into further research with the association between Alzheimer's and HSV1. This will open the doors for further funding and hopefully a cure will come for HSV1 and HSV2. This then promotes further research on other viruses. I hope people can see where I'm coming from on this discussion.

Please post. It's great to hear back from senator's regarding HSV. Promoting further research on other viruses is something I have been trying to get across but I think you picked a better choice of words.

Just signed....I wonder how people who are hsv positive could get informed about this site which in turn gets them informed about these petitions. With so many affected ppl seems disheartening to have so few signatures.....keep pushing everyone....

Help me out. Post them on blogs, user groups, etc. There are a ton of herpes groups on yahoo... I have listed with NY, Boston, and Florida. Go out there and post them on some of the other sites. You have to join but it's easy... I need help in getting the word out... So, if you want to see signatures increase, help!

      Hello "NerdP423"..... well, you've certainly covered all your bases as it relates to testing for herpes.  And without question, the answer is clearly "No" you do not have HSV2.  Two Western blots and multiple swabs and IgG tests are all telling you the same thing... you don't have HSV2.  Also, almost all your symptoms are not remotely related to herpes.  I have not heard of anyone taking over a year, in spite of multiple testing, before they finally come up positive.... it makes no sense. I fear you may be obsessing on this virus and have somehow convinced yourself you have it.... despite your myriad of testing that says otherwise.  You need to try and calm your mind down as it relates to this virus.  If the symptoms you listed are still of concern, you should pursue answers from a doctor but, pushing for an HSV2 answer makes no sense at this point..... I hope you get some clarification on your symptoms but, again, you clearly already have your answer as it relates to HSV2.   Best of luck.

      Hi "Janiewayne"..... I'm sorry you got some not so good news regarding the virus but, glad you found this site.  How were you tested for the virus?  Was it a PCR swab of a sore/lesion?  It would be too soon to have an IgG antibody test if you believe your infection may have occurred as a result of the one night stand only a month ago.  Do you have a copy of the results yet?  Can you upload a copy so we can look it over.... sometimes things are misinterpreted so, it can't hurt to have others look over the results to be sure you have accurate results.  Have you had sores/lesions?  How soon after your sexual encounter?  Did they also test you for HSV1?  If so, what was that result. I know it's very unsettling (to put it mildly) at this stage.... but, I assure you, it will get better.  Never underestimate your ability to adapt to a new situation even if it's less than an ideal situation.  It is a relatively innocuous virus and only occasionally manifests and causes you any symptoms.... which can typically be drastically controlled with antivirals. I hope you will share your results and we can get an accurate accounting of what is going on.... take care for now.... one step at a time.

Sex is bad get married .  Go get 50 zinc pills,  vitamin A 10 000 and D3 5000.  Take 1 A and 2 D3 with a zinc .  You be way better.  From modern medicine with real doctor and hospital.   Build killer white t cells.
