Lysine

Ive been taking Lysine for my herpes for years and it seems to help alot! I dont like using valtrex or other meds like that.

HI Eeva. I tried lysine but just during an ob. Seems to help just a little but not sure about it. How much dosage do you use?? I just take 500 mg 2 times a day

But I dont want to take it for longer times. I read that lysine can rise your "bad" colesterol level so Im still scared of using it.

My boyfriend takes 1500mgs of Lysine a day and swears by it. I stick to acyclovir just when I have outbreaks and have no complaints. The Valtrex was a little too strong for me!

I think 1750 is the minimum to make a difference, I take 2000

I take 2000mg a day 3000mg during an outbreak but a friend of mine read an article on how Lysine is bad on the liver? I thought your body uses what it needs and the rest is discarded through your urine?
