Do I have it? Please help!

Hi - I met my ex-husband 3 years ago and he told me on the first date that he had herpes. He was so honest with me that I ended up falling madly in love and marrying him (I waited about 2 months to sleep with him though). We are now getting divorced (I know, bad...) and I want to move on with my life. I don't think I have h, but I'm not sure.

The last time we had sex of any kind was about 4 months ago. I read on more than one webpage that you will have your first outbreak within 2-10 days. Just this week, I experienced a bit of itching down below and a bit of discharge. Then today, I all of a sudden got a pain in my left leg (almost like how your leg feels when you're REALLY tired). Are these symptoms normal?

ALSO, I went to the doctor last weekend to get a blood test to make sure that I don't have it and the doctor that I saw told me that there isn't a blood test available in Canada. Is he a quack?

Any help you could provide would be great!

Yes...your doctor is an idiot..get another one. There are tests.

Get one so you can relax and not worry.

Your symptoms could possibly be alot of other things.

Your description about your leg does not sound typically like a herpes predome symptom. Once again, get a test as soon as possible to give your mind a rest.best wishes for a negative result!!

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
