Just signed up and wanted to say hello to everyone. I have had #2 since 2002. I have had a lot of rough times dealing with having this disease. It is very hard to date and at times I wonder if I will stay with the person who gave it to me because I am afraid to give this to anyone else.

Why are you finding it hard to date? I have never had a problem with this. I have given the 'talk' many times and have never been rejected. How do you give the 'talk'? How you give it is as important as what you say. I start out by calmly asking them if they have ever had a cold sore. No one thinks cold sores are bad things. So I tell them I get cold sores but not on my face. I ask them if they know what causes cold sores and if they don't I do tell them it is herpes. If you treat it as no big deal then you should find things will go well.
