Backaches // pain ????????

Recommended Posts

okay so after being diagnosed Jan 3rd, my doctor prescribed me two meds to take twice a day.... i honestly was feeling pretty good til she gave me the medicine... i got sick the first day i took the meds and since then my back has been killing me. it started at my lower back now, its most of my bottom half.... maybe im just overreacting about the whole situation, but idk... do back aches have anything to do with my diagnosis of H ?

hay, im new to this myself but ive been doing a lot of resech the last two weeks. I read that the virus hides in a group of nerves at the base of your spinal coard and that in verry sever cases it can cause problems like that even peralisis. So in my oppinion you might want to talk to your doctor about this. I hope I havent scared you with this info and I hope this is not the case. I really hope you start fealing better soon!

I have read of other members having headaches and leg pains with antivirals and chose not to continue with them.

There is a section on here with info about antivirals and you can also google your medication and read up about it and the possible side effects. Another option would be to check back with your doctor.

As for the paralysis....that is VERY rare and unlikely. Hang in there.

okay i think that is what my problem is.....bc i guess ive had H for a while and just now realized it.... and after receiving the meds i just havent been feeling good at all........ and ive been reading on here that people take herbs and other things which help... if thats the case, should i stop my meds and start taking those herbs???? i'm only 18 so i really dont have the knowledge of what to take and what not to take......

My body did not agree with the meds I was on at all either. I did not want food at all and when I forced myself to eat everything had a metallic taste. I took the entire course of treatment which is what I would advise you to do. After you are done with that then you can decide about whether or not you want suppressive treatment or what not. I myself have been fine so far since my first ob in July and I have not taken anything. I try to stay away from foods that can trigger herpes though.

Thanks for your response! I received unprotected oral 10 weeks ago and immediately after had stinging in my glans and weird nerve pain. I am positive for HSV1 due to cold sores I got as a child, but as recent as 9 weeks after this exposure have tested negative for HSV2.    im nervous that I may have acquired hsv1 again on my genitals since HSV2 is rarely acquired from oral sex and doesn’t shed hardly at all, but haven’t seen any sores yet. Just weird symptoms and this started recently in my buttcrack when I was taking antibiotics.   Any advice or perspective would be greatly appreciated. @WilsoInAus

Hi @Throwaway765 and welcome. There is absolutely no concern over this being related to herpes. Something must be concerning you as to the possibility of herpes… what is it?
