Not sure if I do have it

Recommended Posts

But I"ve only been with two guys, and the first was only once, and he had never been with anyone before.

I"ve had what looks like cold sores on my vagina before(twice), but only one sore, and maybe only once a year? This is a span of five years between the first and this boyfriend.

I'm about 98% postive I didn't get it from the first guy.

Anyway I was with my last boyfriend for 6 months, and I never thought about it, as the last one was over a year before.

About 4 months in, he started making excuses not to have sex, and 2 months later(no sex since the 4 month mark) he brokeup with me.

Now I've noticed another sore.

I never thought I had herpes, but now that I"m thinking back, what if I do and that is the reason he was distant sexally and eventually ended our realtionship? beacause I gave it to him?

Can you give it to yourself? Like if I was touching a cold sore in my mouth(which I alwasy did when I had them when young) and then touching myself, could I have given it to myself?

Most people get genital herpes by having sex with someone who is shedding the herpes virus either during an outbreak or during a period with no symptoms. Herpes is spread by direct skin to skin contact. Unlike a flu virus that you can get through the air, herpes spreads by direct contact, that is, directly from the site of infection to the site of contact. For example, if you have a cold sore and kiss someone, you can transfer the virus to their mouth. Similarly, if you have active genital herpes and have vaginal or anal intercourse, you can give your partner genital herpes. Finally, if you have a cold sore and put your mouth on your partners genitals (oral sex), you can give your partner genital herpes.

May have H and have my symptoms of it what so ever. My dr advised me I could of had H for years and something trigged it like STRESS. Which I have alot of these days.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
