I have Herpes

I knew it. I really knew, thinking back I was hoping it couldn't be true. I received the worst birthday present of my life! HERPES. HSV 2 Okaay. I bet a lot of people say "I didn't think it would ever happen to ME" I was definitely one of those people. On my 21st birthday I was out with my friends, getting severely intoxicated and allowed myself (some how being blacked out shows consent???) to be taken away by a man. The next morning I woke up and had little idea about what happened other than a few flash backs. Not pleasant, one bit.

Here I am. I have Herpes. I am trying to say it to take control over it. 6 months later while spending time with my true true love my first outbreak was triggered and I had no idea what was going on. I was misdiagnosed TWICE in these foreign woman's hospitals, and therefore did not practice the correct precautionary measures. I am so so so scared I gave it to my love. This is the biggest thought on my mind. I want him to get tested as soon as possible.

Now I know the truth after coming back and being able to speak english with my doctor and getting a PROPER blood test, he left the message on my phone two days ago. I have Herpes. Where do I go now?? My man still loves me, I am still me, I can still study, right now I am just trying to get educated. I have so many questions like, how does diet really affect?? What are the first changes I should make?? Looking forward to investigating this forum. Thanks for reading.

Welcome to the 'club'. Don't assume you have given it to this guy, because it is harder for a guy to get it from a girl than vice versa.

And experiment with your food. This site lists some foods which could be triggers for an outbreak but it is not necessarily true for everyone. I can eat whatever I want and never have an outbreak.
