HI, I am new to this forum, but not to genital hepres, I have had since I was a teen and I am now 41. I have aganozied after being infected. My heart goes out to each and everyone of you! Here is the good news I have experienced! I have done alot of research on here. I have taken a product called "Lauricidin" for 2 years and I no longer have any outbreaks, I would get outbreaks every single month. I prayed that my children would never be infectd and thankfully they were not. I was thinking last night that I need to share this with others, I would not even think of sharing this if I have not been help 100 percent. My Drs do not understand it at all! Please go and look up Lauricidin on a web search. It is nontoxic. I pay 30 dollars a jar and the jar lasts me over a month. It comes in granules. I but it from the Med-Chems Labs. Dr Wilde has talked about it on his site also.I have been on many prescriptions through out the years but nothing has helped me before, in fact everything made me feel worse. I am not getting anything out of sharing this except the joy of helping others. Please let me know how it goes!

God Bless You!

Has anyone else tried this? This is something I might have bought even prior to ghsv1 so I am going to try it for a year.

would someone else try it or tell me how they fared on it?

I think weight is important here too, if you weigh more, you need to take more.

Tryed it,did not do a thing. Complete waste of money for me.If it works for you thats great, but to others looking for some "miracle" treatment or herb don't expect this to be it.

Lauricidin didn't help

lauricidin is found in coconut oil. Of the many, many snake oils I have tried over the last 6 months, virgin coconut oil is one. I consumed it at the recommended dosage of 4 tblspns a day - I would add it to warm water and swallow it. Every time I did it I had to work hard to stop myself from vomitting. Coconut oil is one of the most repuslive smelling and tasting food products you can find. It was useless. It did absolutely nothing to help me. I think it's being peddled as a miracle cure by a few small coconut republics that stand to earn an absolute fortune from stupid rich westerners who will pay anything to find a cure for their ailments. Stupidly I still haven't tried valtrex yet - I guess somewhere I'm still hoping there is a remedy that will put an end to this once and for all. I'm just beginning to realise that there simply isn't. A month's supply of virgin coconut oil will cost you about the same as month's supply of suppressive prescription medication. Over here in the UK it's $30US a tub - which is about one week's supply.

Tears4Fears,

How much did you use and for how long? Thank you for sharing your experience with this!

Cheers,

Anon Woman

I used it for 6 months.First did the recomended amount and after a couple of months

increased the dosage as the recommended amount was doing nothing.

Maybe it helped a few but I'm guessing on average it did not help most.I may be on the higher end to try to help as I'm still getting obs every month while on suppresives. I've increased

dosages when feeling a ob coming on and while on it but that still does not seem to help alot. It's been over two years with this bloody virus and always hoping it will calm down as i've read it does lots, but not for me. I've tried so many diffrent alternatives and not one has made me feel like before i ever had this. It get 's pretty frustrating,I definitly have my days/weeks of been down. Oh well,I guess it's not terminal, though at times I feel it might as well be.

London, coconut oil shouldnt help. Scientifically, you shouldnt get enough monolaurin from it, unless you are extremly thin and your body happens to be good at converting it into monolaurin.

Tears for Fears, do you remember the dosage? I think you need at least 3 scoops a day. The amount the rec to start at is too low.

Tears for Fears, have you tried Zicam gel or getting a compounding pharm to create a gel with 50mM of zinc gluconate? I am just trying to think of things that well help and of things that have a scientific basis and reason to work.

Please read this:

http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=86580

So far zicam has worked for me, but we will see. I need to get higher concentration of the gel from a compounding pharm. It is the onlu topical I have founf that does not damage our cells and inactivates hsv1 extremely well and pretty good to ok for hsv2. I think zicam would help hsv2 but it would be better/more effective to get a higher concentration. Zinc gluconate also penetrates the mucous membranes extremely well.

I had tingling, puffiness and what looked like peely skin. I thought I was getting yet another minor ghsv1 breakout. I put zicam on it. The next morning my skin was flat (not swollen) and it was pink not red and it didnt itch at all! The skin that was starting to slough off/peel was completely healed!

I will still keep my lysine and valtrex in case zinc gluconate lets me down. I still might keep with the monlaurin. I fine it hard to take because I keep forgetting to take it! :)

Please try the zinc gluconate at the right dose for your infection. Worse case scenerio it does not work. It isnt that expensive anyway. Research it, there is science behind it.

Lauricidin did not work for me, I bought two jars to give it a try. Also tried Virgin Coconut oil but had an outbreak with both of them.

only things that did work were Olive leaf extract and resveratrol. Now I am on a 200mg per day dose of trans resveratrol(in two divided doses of 100 mg each) and have no outbreaks for more than a year.

who knows,

Do you still take the oive leaf extract as well?

Did you take at least 3 scoops of the monolaurin per day? Do you mind sharing how much you weigh? I noticed that weight matters a lot in terms of dosage. I am at the cut off point where I worry it may not work with only 3 scoops. I am a female 5'8 and 3/4 to be exact :) and weigh 127.

As I had said I did increase the dosage as the recomended amount was not doing anything as per the Mono Lauricidian.

And I did try the Zicam from reading about it in another post, perhaps yours, but unfortunatley it has not appeared to do much ,the raised swollen skin subsides a bit but comes back fairly quickly.I've tried using it for a couple weeks. By the way this is for HSV 2. Actually the only thing that I have found that works for me topically(and works reasonably well) is RMA healing cream, which is a specially formulated cream that has red marine alge plus a bunch of other things in it,unfortunatley it's kinda expensive at around 14 bucks for a small tiny jar.I'm not in the states and it can not be found here so I have to go online to order it and with exchange and shipping and brokerage costs it gets kinda steep.I guess i'll just keep searching for the golden bullet that works for me.Also Zicam was not available here either and the place that I initially ordered it from will now not ship it here because it is not approved here so i'm not sure if i can even get it here anymore anyways. I have not tried that Reverstol stuff but I'm sure it's not available locally here so i'll have to do the same thing as the zicam...maybe i'll get lucky and that will be the bullet. Thanx for the comments.

Thank you for sharing your experiences everyone. I am hopeful about supressing reactivation of the virus through red wine extract after hearing about someone's success with it. I will def try that.

If you ever do try zicam, I think it is better that you go to a compounding pharm and get a higher dose of zinc gluconate than 33mM. I think 50mM would work better, especially for hsv2. The 50mM will inactivate most of hsv2, but 30mM will not.

I really like the idea of red wine extract because it is healthy for you regardless if you have hsv or not. I plan to try drink more red wine. :)

Cheers,

Hello

I have tried Lauricidin and it i did not work for me but then i only tried it for couple of months. Could you find Purell locally? If you are a guy it could certainly help its cheap and easy. Just apply it twice daily and your outbreaks could reduce mine did.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.

I did notice they stoped selling the one I bought it was a 7 panel test for 7 std but now they got the 6 panel and hsv is not on it but they do collect blood and pee and you send in to a laboratory
