Confusing results..HELP

Recommended Posts

instability

I had blood drawn for various lab tests. Maybe about 6 small tubes. All done in one day. However, in the lab report there are 4 different results on paper as follows:

Herpes Simplex I and II Antibody IgG Result 2.8

HSV-1 Glycoprotein G Antibody IgG Result <0.91

HSV-2 Glycoprotein G Antibody IgG Result <0.91

Herpes Simplex I and II Antibody IgM Result <0.91

The references in the lab report indicated that <0.91 is negative.

as noted in the report, all these tests were observed in chronological order, with the top being first. the doctor mentioned NOTHING about that 2.8 result to me during my follow up. A few visits later, a different doctor went over the results again with me, and just told me it's nothing to worry about. I am so lost here. These doctors don't want to help me or something. Do I have it or not?

Someone please help me. It seems I find more answers online than in the doctors office.

THANKS!

That does sound confusing. Call your doctors back and ask them about the 2.8 figure.

Also search the Forums, I know several people have posted how to interpret results here.

Good luck!
