Need some advice

Hey,

About a year ago one morning I woke up and felt what felt like a pimple in my public hair area and while messing with it, it popped. I went to the doctor and she said it was probably an ingrown hair but she tested me anyway. Well I never picked up the results and about three weeks ago I noticed a similar pimple-like bump in roughly the same place. I popped it again and white pimple juice came out and then it healed but the healing took a while. Then this morning I have a new similar pimple like blister in my pubic hair region. I also noticed several very small red bumps on my thighs with no discernable pattern.

I have been in a monogamous relationship for the last 20 months and never cheated on my girlfriend. Before her I had had sex with 6 other people but none had been within 18 months of any of these bumps. My girlfriend broke up with me recently and since then I've had sex with one girl but I used a condom.

Do these symptoms sound suspicious? They have me quite worried and I plan to go to the doctor tomorrow but since I can't today, I need some opinions to keep my sanity.

Thanks.

What you describe does not sound like herpes. Herpes sores can be white but they cannot be "popped" like a pimple. If you try, you experience SERIOUS pain, and its just not possible. (as least from my experience). They must go away on their own, and they don't pop because they are not full of fluid like a pimple is.

It sounds to me like you have ingrown hairs, but I would still go to the doctor and get totally checked out and ask specifically for a herpes STD test.

Good luck.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
