Wanting to die.....

LifeIsUnexpected

Recommended Posts

I think at times that I would rather die then have to live with this for the rest of my life. How am I suppose to tell people about this? What are they going to think of me? how many embarrassing moments will I have to face when I have to tell a guy that I have this? How many will walk away because they don't understand or want to try to? What about my kids? Does this ever get easier? I have to go pick up my Valtrex soon and I don't want to. I know everyone at the pharmacy will know what I have and so will the people standing in line behind me. Why me? FML! I hope that the anger and rage will soon subside and I will feel somewhat normal again, if that can ever really happen!

take a deep breath! first most people don't know what valtrex is, and your pharmacy's job is to be discreet, and keep your information private. this also means that the people that work in the pharmacy are NOT allowed to discuss your business with anyone but YOU!!! they can get in serious trouble if they do! The anger and rage will pass. This is easier to deal with when you are not having an ob. As for telling, it will make you get to know someone before becoming intimate with them. Your kids have no worries if you have genital herpes. it is skin to skin contact that spreads it, just be sure to wash your hands after using the bathroom. It will get better and easier to deal with. I promise you this. I'm almost a year into it, and the ob's are already less frequent and severe. Hope this helps a bit!

Thanks both of you! I have never had an OB and hope I don't have reading what I have. I guess for now I will educate myself and work on acceptance.

Thanks for your response! I received unprotected oral 10 weeks ago and immediately after had stinging in my glans and weird nerve pain. I am positive for HSV1 due to cold sores I got as a child, but as recent as 9 weeks after this exposure have tested negative for HSV2.    im nervous that I may have acquired hsv1 again on my genitals since HSV2 is rarely acquired from oral sex and doesn’t shed hardly at all, but haven’t seen any sores yet. Just weird symptoms and this started recently in my buttcrack when I was taking antibiotics.   Any advice or perspective would be greatly appreciated. @WilsoInAus

Hi @Throwaway765 and welcome. There is absolutely no concern over this being related to herpes. Something must be concerning you as to the possibility of herpes… what is it?
