very confused, desperately need answers

i know i should go to a doctor to be diagnosed, and i do plan on going, but until i do i really am confused about whether or not i have genital herpes... a few months ago i started getting little bumps on my butt, sometimes and very rarely one would have a whitehead but they were so small and didn't hurt or itch that i didn't think it was anything more than a rash. about 2 months ago i noticed a bump on my outer vaginal area that turned into a pimple-like bump and really freaked me out. i didn't think it was herpes though b/c it didn't itch or particularly hurt... but now i have another one.... everyone always says "the first outbreak is the worst" but i don't know that i've had an actual OUTBREAK. i don't know if one or two not-very-painful and just a little itchy counts as an outbreak... but i do remember having a horrible headache & fever one night out of nowhere that lasted about 2 days that now seems like it was around the same time as the first freak-out bump... honestly i've been researching this quite a bit and it sounds like every single symtom is something that i have except for that huge inital outbreak. it's basically the last hope i'm holding onto... i know i need to go to a doctor to get this clarified, but until then i really need someone's honest opinion about whether or not it looks like i have it.

Hi honey!

Not everyone has that same big painfull OB the first time like they say.If you've seen some scary pictures of Herpes on the net and your sores look nothing like them, that doesn't mean much cuz the pics are "worst case" herpes.

I had some doubts when I had my first couple of OB's too and waited so long until I actually saw a doctor.I did some research on the net and tried to pay more attention to my body and noticed that sometimes I'd get a bad headache'fever thing a few days befor an OB.Also sometimes felt like I was about to get a bladder infection and my thigh really hurt.We all have diferent OB's though.

Sounds like you may have it from what you say,but I'm not a doctor so can't diagnose. It's defiantly something you need to see a doctor for even if it is not herpes.I hope you see a doctor soon.

Take Care!! PM me if you need anything or just want to talk!

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
