small bump -- Please help! Is it ?

I'm not sure what it is. I had my doctor examine, take a culture, and have it tested. It came back negative.

I had unprotected sex with a woman in October. She said she was disease free.

A few weeks later, a pimple emerged after I was masturbating. It was painful at the beginning. It was just one pimple and not a cluster like most people often associate with herpes.

I saw my doctor who gave me Valtrax. That's when he took the culture. I took the Valtrax for a few weeks. It went away, eventually.

The pimple recently returned. I'm going back to see my doctor on Monday. Will get blood tests as well.

I'm not sure what to think. It's not painful and it doesn't itch. Again, it's only one pimple (a bump). It's located on the right side of my shaft, directly below the head of the penis.

Well when I got the culture done my test also came back negative, thought the doc said it looked like herpes and I was also pretty sure it was.Sometimes there isn't enough "fluid" to test and it can come back negative.I'd get another test done and take the meds your given and learn more about herpes. Not everyone gets the clusters,my sores are spaced a bit farther then clusters.

OK...my doctor tested it and said I don't have Herpes...the culture came back negative. However, I still have a small scab where this sore once was and it's a bit embarassing. It first appeared in October!!!

I'm not sure what to do...go to a dermatologist? To a urologist? I'm not conviced my regular doctor knows what to do about it.

Any help would be appreciative.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
