So, I read a lot about protecting your partner from H if they are negative. But, if both partners are positive, what are the rules and regulations? Can we still get cold sores from oral sex? Any advice would be great...

True you can't herpes if you allready have it.Just like you can't get a cold if you allready have one.If you were to have sex with someone who is having an OB then you can infect another area of your body though.I really don't think sex would be that great during an OB though

Not if you already have herpes antibodies built up in your own body.

The only time it's possible to self innoculate is during a true primary when there are no antibodies built up.

Not if they already have antibodies built up in their system. Autoinoculation can only occur during a true first time outbreak when the body has not had a chance to build up those herpes antibodies.
