Desperate For Information

Recommended Posts

I'm new to this forum and thought I'd reach out for help. I was diagnosed w/HSV2 in July. I had JUST met a man and we had sex prior to my diagnosis (parting gift from prior boyfriend that cheated on me -- nice parting gift). I told the new man as soon as I found out. He was VERY supportive (we'll use condoms, etc.). Now he says that he doesn't like condoms and that the HSV is something he can't get over. Yes, we broke up. He was so supportive that we didn't do a lot of research. Now it's time to find out all I can.

I feel alone and confused. I don't think I show any of the typical symptoms, but after reading some of the information here (website) I think I do show outbreaks (red bumps -- pimple like). I have read about shedding of cells and wonder if there is any drug that controls this.

I feel like I have a HUGE "A" on my back. How do I go about dating with HSV2? Is there such a thing as oral sex with HSV2? ANY information or person experience is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance for helping a newbie... :D

Even though...

You feel very much alone right now, your concern is very common. So common in fact that many people have addressed those very issues.

I would like to point out that there are personal stories you can read through, many articles on the topic of dating with H and various people who live with herpes ready to answer your questions.

There's lots of options available. Just know that it seems really bad right now, but it's not always going to be this way.

I married a non H man :) It took me 7 years or so of having H and kissing many toads, but I did find him :)

Hang in there and let me know if there are specific questions I can answer.

Oh and oral sex is not out of the question.

Don't Limit Yourself...

I've never been a fan of the whole idea of playing judge and jury for someone you've yet to meet. Which to me is what the whole STD dating sites thing is about.

It's up to each person to determine just how much they want a relationship with a person.

I married a NON H man - so did Angela aka SpecialUser1234 and so did Liz over on the STD Message Board on SpecialUser1234.com - plus many others who are in relationships with non H people.

I can't imagine where I would be if I had made the decision FOR my husband rather than let him make it on his own.

We're very happy and herpes is a NON Issue.

Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

In this forum we will discuss does lume work Lume is paraben-free and uses several natural ingredients like Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, tapioca starch, and Maranta arundinacea root powder (also known as arrowroot powder) to control odor and sweat. One of the key Lume deodorant ingredients is mandelic acid, an AHA found in skin care products, which also has an antibacterial effect.

Ibuprofen medicine is a painkiller. Can you take ibuprofen on an empty stomach  Some people take medicine empty stomach which is not good for our health. Because painkiller kind of medicine is very strong and can harm your liver. Medicine makes many strong ingredients. like Lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), and carnauba wax.
