it doesnt burn when i pee but i been way to paranoid cant sleep been really depressed about it

the doctor said that it doesnt seem like herpes to her but id have to wait to see if they come out and blister but the thing is is that i knew the girl got around a bit and my freind told me after he heard she had herpies but she says she doesnt and ppl talk alot of bull in this small town i live in about ppl that are sexualy active so am i just paranoid

if anyone that has herpes can help me out or even help me cope with this please add me to msn

Trust your doctor... but make sure you get a culture and a blood test... just to be sure and on the safe side... she may have it and not know... so be nice to her....

I have never had an outbreak... I only found out I have it because my ex said I gave it to him.... when I know it would have to be the other way around because no other male I have been with has it...

have you looked at pics online to see if they match up???

go back to the doctor and request that he do a herpes workup anyway... just for a piece of mind... worse case you have it... but trust that life goes on anyway...

red bumps could be anything I have gotten them from shaving... and even had bumps that were ingrown hairs... we freak out when stuff happens down there but... really we need to just trust in our docs....

Actually if your doctor told you that she was wrong... there is a blood test for herpes... like I said... I have never had an outbreak... but tested positive with the blood test.....

It takes the body a few weeks to develop HSV antibodies that will be detectable with the blood test though, maybe that is why the doc says there isn't anything she can do. :?: Did she give you the option to come back in at a later date for a followup?

From the posts I am reading it seems that most doctors aren't as knowledgable about H as we would like them to be. I know that personally, all my gyno asked me when he saw me after my diagnosis (I went on a walk-in appt and saw one of his partners when I was actually tested) was whether or not they had called me with my results. I told him they had, and that was all he had to say on the subject. (I was there this visit for my annual pap) Didn't offer me any information on H or ask me if I had been given any info on my previous visit. Just wrote me an "as needed" Rx for Valtrex to take during outbreaks. Everything I have learned about Herpes is because of the net and boards like this one...

Hi @Anxious 1234 Did you get diagnosis for this?

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Well thank you I appreciate it

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
