Has anybody had this before

I have had symptoms of severe itching for 2 months with 1 outbreak of mild blisters a month after the itching began. The doctors gave me valtrex which did nothing for the itching and insisted I stay on it. I went to another doctor to get famvir which had worked for me in the past. This has helped thou it is now a month later and I still experience mild itching. It is so frustrating I just want it to stop! :(

Have you tried a dermatologist? If you have insurance, most can be very affordable.

dear seeking1. As HSV r's I do believe that we associate everythng down there with the virus, well I do anyway and it freaks me out. I recently had a constant red patch, not itchy not sore, not stingy right at the top of my but (sorry if TMI)-wouldnt go away, on valtrex, nope stayed there, for about 5 weeks i think. Anyway Im freaking of course, because thats what I do with ANY sign down there-went to doc, had two swabs to see if viral, both came back negative. He gave me a dermatitis ointment, it went away within 2 days? So? Maybe go to doc, get checked for thrush maybe? You prob have thought of that already, hope you get to the 'bottom' of it, pardon the pun

I'm itchy too! It won't stop either. I have not had any other symptoms of HVS other than the itching. But my symptom does fit the timeline for exposure... it's so confusing for me.
