Herpes Diet/Alternative Treatments

I found this website:

and I am wondering if anybody has had any experience with changing diet in order to supposedly help prevent or treat OBS.

I am new to this, and want to find a good treatment, hoping to avoid taking prescription drugs if possible.

I know 3 different individuals who have had HSV for 25-30 years. They are not on any meds, and never were. They eat healthy, drink lots of wine and beer, eat chocolate and hardly ever get outbreaks.

I was just diagnosed and am on Acyclovir for my first OB, I don't plan on staying on the meds. I don't want my body dependent on a drug that makes me rash and my muscle crap. Not to mention the long term damage to my organs. I believe and hope my body will handle this virus with help in a better diet and exercise.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
