New here and like everyone else I need some advice please.

Hello everyone,

I recently met someone who has herpes. I don't have it but like many others I am sure; would prefer not to have it. Question is I really like this guy and I am wondering what are the risks of me getting it from him? How can one protect themselves? Condoms all of your life when being intimate?

I am really uncertain about what is accurate and what is being projected because it's 'Herpes'. If I terminate this relationship with him, I'd feel like I'd be losing out on some great person; and honestly I am not a person who judges another person on their 'appearances', 'creed', 'religion', 'disability' and etc but the thought of playing russian roulette with someone who has herpes is somewhat scary.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would be lying if I said you wouldn't be taking a risk... but you could be taking that same risk with someone else who just isn't honest about what he has,....
