also to answer Unbelievable question of why people should just go to the doc...

"Ok here it goes....A girl gave me oral sex ...I first got a burning feeling under the tip of my penis for about 4-5 days about 5 days after it....a little bit of burning while I pee and some itchyness above the genital area....My question is not that if I do have herpes I basicly know....but my question is which one is it most likely? 1 or 2? I read alot of posts and did alot of research and I heard that a #2 transmission from her mouth to my penis is near impossible...can anyone tell me the true info because alot of it says yes and alot of it says no....do I most likely have one on my penis? the 2nd part of my question is just today about 40 days after there is a red bump at the starting of my shaft....again Im not asking if I have it I think I do....but if this is #1 does it look the same on the genitals as 2 does? or does it look like a cold sore on the mouth but on the penis?

basicly I am asking 1. if I most likely have 1 or 2...or if you dont know with out a test......and 2. if all the same syptoms happen with 1 and 2 in the genital region so you cant tell?"

I went to my doctor she took a look at the bump and said its not herpes but also said if it breaks open before it heals i need to get it swabed if not there is no way to say 100% for shure....I am like isent there a blood test i can take? she said well ya but if you have had a cold sore it wouldnt tell us anything other then that ...so then I asked so I just take your word on this isent herpes? what about the burning feeling or other systoms i had within 20 days after what i thought was contact with it.....she said its not herpes gave me some irritant skin cream presricption...the last question I asked was so I can feel safe just assuming this isent that and go on with my sex life and be no risk to others? she said ya its not herpes

She is a very well known good doctor to not one that doenst care....but since i got no answers whats so ever other then its not and no std check eiether though I pressed the issue and only got "Its not" and "its really rare to get it from oral unless its type 1 which lots of people have" I went to a walk in clinic wasted another 3 hours they said it wasent herpes and didnt suggest a std check eiether...

so now what do I do? 2 places 2 doctors say it isent herpes and by my story its unlikely and rare it would be that and both said i didnt need to worry about spreading it? but I had mostly all the symptoms ? so now what do I do go on with my sex life maybe spread it and when i do just go oh well 2 doctors said i didnt have it and said I didnt need to get tested?

this all sounds like a waste of money/time for me I know your going to say keep trying but how? take my own blood and make them test it? waste more money? .

ummm... the reasoning behind going to a doctor...

they are a trained medical profession...

they can see what you are talking about....

they can run tests...

we can't see what you are talking about...

we would only be guessing if the symptoms seem like herpes....

most of us are not medical professionals...

final thought.... if you don't like or trust your doctor.... go see a new one... find one that specializes in skin diseases...

HSV2 is rare orally so if it is herpes from that kind of contact is it most likely HSV1.... but again... it could be jock itch... don't know... my degree is in business...

Hi @Anxious 1234 Did you get diagnosis for this?

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
