I have just caught herpes.

I want to know how this infection is passed on.

My partner says he hasnt slept around.he has no symptoms yet I havent been with anyone else since the begginging of our 3yr relationship is it possible that he had herpes for a while yet never shown a sign or symptom in his life.

I really need to know the answer for this question.is it possible that he caught it from an ex partner and the virus has laid dormant and been passed on to me.

The most possible answer is that he cheated on you. I say that cause u have been with him for 3 years. If he had it prior to than you should have caught it already.

It is possible for the first outbreak to be extremely mild and he did not notice any discomfort or looked at himself and saw bumps.

But over the years, he should have had outbreaks and passed it to you than. It may be a hard case to prove and your best bet may be to just get medicated

He needs to be tested via blood and get on medication to prevent the outbreaks from happening.
