I did a blood test and found out I have HSV1(oral herpies). Besides canker sores, I have a rash on my butt. It was just a few small red bumps where my butt meets my thighs. I had it for a while before it ever itched. Then, it itched pretty bad. I didn't know what it was, so I scratched the hell out of it. That made it spread. It went from being a few inches on my leg/butt to covering my whole ass.

I don't know if I have HSV2(I tested negative for that). If it HSV1 on my butt, then I'd assume you could contract it from someone's mouth(since it's primarily oral) and have it go to the lower region. I don't know why it's on my butt, though. I guess the virus likes it there.

how long did it take before it itched or anything? are you sure the rash is herpes?

one can get herpes in an area that wasn't touched by someone else?

for instance, i recieved oral sex but i am seeing bumps on my thighs?

I can't recall how long it took before it itched because I thought nothing of it for a long time. I thought it was just ingrown hairs or ass pimples because it wasn't how I'd pictured herpes would look. It was probably, and I'm really guessing here, about 6 months before it itched and spread.

I don't know for certain if it actually is herpes on my butt, but I've had off and on outbreaks(more itching and bumps) for about 2-3 years, and a blood test showed I have HSV1. The doctor looked at it and said he couldn't do any real swab test on it because there is no fluid. He also said the blood test may not detect HSV2. I'm sure if it was an allergy, fungal, or bacterial rash it would have gone away by now(especially with the fungicides, antibiotics, and benadryl I've used on it) .

I've looked at some pics before on the net of herpes that looks just like my butt rash. I've also read an article that said you can get HSV1 on other parts of your body, besides the mouth/face, including the genital area. Also, when HSV1 is in other parts of the body that aren't common for the virus, it is supposedly less severe. My rash doesn't look or seem to be as severe as HSV2 supposedly is. I don't know why it would choose my butt, but I'm just happy it's not on my face or fingers.

Make sure your carefull about scratching and touching the rash. HSV1 is really easy to spread.

Hey guys.. herpes does likes the booty. I have type 2 which attacks the whole sacral dermatome with a vengence. About fours years into my diagnosis, I experienced the worst outbreak of my life around my tailbone... in my crack.. and down my right ass cheek. It left big ulcers that took two weeks to heal :(

As a matter of fact, when I do get an outbreak which is rare and MUCH milder now..it pops up on the very top of my crack or just around that area..not on the coochie lately. Anyway, this virus is spread by direct contact with infected lesions, or saliva.. for instance in HSV1 then makes itself at home wherever it lands on your skin

Pretty much the textbook description of herpes. I noticed symptoms about 4 days after I was molested by a man. My Primary outbreak started out as flu like symptoms.. worst was the headache around my eyes and general icky malaise.

A couple of days later, I noticed red itchy, painful bumps that developed into blisters within a day or two. My labia was hard and swollen (this was due to the lymph gland involvement). I had a great deal of neuralgia-- throbbing and aching off and on. Have you ever seen chickenpox? the vesicles of simplex are very similar.

Soon the itching subsided and the fluid in the blisters became cloudy looking at around a week from onset. The lesions opened, and formed shallow ulcers that were painful and bled a little. They were on my outer and inner labia, perineum, and top of my butt crack.

Some were in clusters of 3 or 4 and others were single satelite lesions in that general area. None on my thighs. The doctor also found lesions inside my vagina and on my cervix. While the lesions heal, crusts form on top of them. It took 3 weeks for the rash to heal.

I autoinnoculated one area on the side of my neck. This has never recurred.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
