PLEASE READ

I'm just woundering myself... I've done ALOT of research on herpes, actually days worth.... You do seem to know alot about what your talkin about so hear me out.... There is a good chance I was exposed to the herpes virus in a one night stand on Sept 1st.... I wore a condom and everything.... The only reason I think I might have been exposed is because I felt a little tiny wart like bump near her vagina, there was no other bumps anywhere on her.... Anyways about 2 days after I noticed a rash on my penis head, it than spread just below my penis... I still to this day have a rash, and the very end of my penis head (NOT TIP) seems discolored still (it looks blueish/purple) I went for two differant STD tests both coming out negative... I than went to two differant docters who told me it was a rash... Go figure... I don't think it's herpes, its been 23 days since exposure.... The doctors I say it was an allergic reaction or something.... It's still really stressing me out... I'm using a cream the doctors gave me for the rash, I can get you the name if needed.... I'd like to make it clear that I've had no such herpes out breaks, I dont feel any burning, no itch unless I'm going hardcore at the gym and sweating down there, it might bug me once or twice.... I'm very healthy, I work out alot, 6 days a week usually, 3 hours per session, I eat decent, and drink lots of fluid... I've been soaking my penis in herbal teas which are meant to relax sensitive skin.... The tea is call "Camomille" and I was told to use it by a book I've read, it did seem to help, until I stoped without the rash being completly gone and than the rash flared up again.... I've done sooo much research on this piece of shit of a disease.... I don't have any bumps from the pictures I've seen in books or on the internet.... I've had no flu sypthoms (BUT I JUST GOT THE FLU 2 days ago, alot of people around me seem to have it)... I've not gotten weaker at my gym in the past 20 days.... I can feel an irratation down there... Please tell me whats going on, I'm still stressing, but I'm trying to be as helpful as I can on this site.... I've done days of research, could I have herpes???

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

RICH

hey

That doesn't sound like herpes. There are lots of things that could produce a rach near the tip, and these do include different types of infections, but without urinary pain or the telltale ulcers, I don't think you should be worrying about herpes. If you have a primary outbreak of herpes, you'll know. You may try some 1% cortisone cream on the red skin to see if this clears it up.

I tried cortizone 1% cream... It didn't work... I've also tried some anti fungi infection cream... It didn't work... I've seen 3 differant doctors none of them know what this could be... I went into the sauna today and since I was there by myself and I aint cut I pulled back the foreskin and let it get exposed to the air inside.... It seriously turned redder than an apple by the time I got into the showers.... It doesn't hurt, I dont feel anything when I urinate, it seems to move some days, like for example I can wake in the morning and it will be on the right side of the head and than other days I can barly see it, the next day its back all red again... It's really weird... It's really stressing me out bad... Do you think this could be asymptomatic shedding??? I've had this redness for 2 months already... Any suggestions, anyone???

Rich

Possible you have a mild infection, whether yeast or bacterial - thrush, candida, are possibilities. It's possible you have herpes - in fact that's possible in lots of cases where people don't know it. But just having red skin irritation on the end of your penis is not that suspicious for herpes, and other causes are more likely - not the least of which is you fiddling with the area a lot because you're worried. If this is continuing to worry you, go to an std clinic. Repeat all the screens and let the doctors reassure you.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
