I can barely...

Recommended Posts

get out of bed to walk/feed my dog. This is not fair to her. I am an idiot and hate my life right now but I know it's just going to get worse. I have nobody in my phone I want to tell, not even my parents so pretty much this website is my new best friend. I hope I make it through this.

Im sorry your ob is so bad, why do you say its going to get worse? as to not telling anyone, if you dont this website will be invaluable, this really is the best site for support and advice, the not being able to walk does get better, have you tried salt baths, hard to get in and out the bath but does help the sores dry up quicker

U r not alone trust me and i felt the same way and i still have bad days but it will get better and try to find someone to trust close to you. And it may be ur parents. As far as your sores, try tea tree oil..sold at walmart. Im a firm believer in this stuff. It really helped my sores. And you may not want to get up just due to depression from finding out. Take u some kind of pain relief also like tylenol...and get the thought out of your head that its the end of the world...u have a skin condition. U will live and people will still love you. Hoping it gets better for you soon...dreamer

Dreamer, You seem as if you were where I was in the beginning. I appreciate your reply back to me. Do you think my Dr. will give me pain meds?

I completely agree with Dreamer! You are definitely not alone in this. I was newly diagnosed 3 days ago, and felt like my world had dropped out from under me. I cried in the office because I just couldn't believe it. I was prescribed Valacyclovir and 800 mg of Ibuprofen. I had to go to work the next day, and by the time I got home, I was in tears and so much pain I wanted to die. I called my doctor on call, and she presrcibed Lidocaine gel 2% for the pain. It helps alot, I just wish it lasted longer. I pour warm water on me as I urinate which helps tremendously, and I try to wash with Dove 3 times a day, using a hand held shower massager when I can and a hairdyer to dry off. I know alot of advice says to keep it dry down there, but I find that it hurts more to be dry and with the gel, I feel much better and the pain is more tolerable. Please dont ever feel like your alone in this, as you have found this forum and have many, many friends here to listen and lend a shoulder anytime you need it!! Together we will be strong and help each other through this!! :)

Well you are not alone! I had the same reaction and I found out 2 weeks ago... I didn't do anything but go to work and go home and sleep or cry... It helped me to be back on antidepressants ( as I battle with depression too) this kicked me right back into a heavy depression. What I've learned is that life keeps going and I am still the same person. I still am on the verge of tears a lot but functioning and doing things I normally do. I've been on this website religiously and it helps that everyone on this site is here to lend support

I hope that your mind feels better...I just found out about my lifelong treat and as of yet I have not had an outbreak but the emotional toll is depressing. Try the methods about the salt water bath and then take your dog for a few step outside. And whatever the weather is outside be thankful that your eyes are functioning to view and experience.

Look I know how you feel, last week I could barley walk the pain was so bad. Friday I went to my dr, was visually diagnosed then test re****s Monday were the true positive for GH. Friday she gave me a one time dose of azithromycin as a precautionary for any bacterial infection, a ten day dose of Valtrex and Zovirax ointment for the sores. Lets just say that today is the best I have felt since October 24. Epsomsalt sitz baths got me through the week, I tried to do it at least three times a day but def two, and they helped sooo much. I gets better, really, and yes I have beat my self up emotionally since I started feeling sooo horrible that week in October. The web site will be a great help, esp if you don't want to tell anyone, good luck and def get to the dr.

Ok. That's true. I would def. use protection but i was just thinking I should say something. I haven't made an decisions yet so nothing has happened. And also thanks for your response.

Im thinking alot of one night stands are usually ppl you dont know. So i assume alot of ppl take the risk and have protected sex or even unprotected sex knowing they will never see thst person ever again. Especially if the transmission rate is low while using protection

I mean by that same logic anybody would be crazy to have sex with us ever  lol ppl we end up in relationships with are at risk the most aren't they? Since that would mean regular sex...  I'm asking to see if anybody has ACTUALLY disclosed to a one night stand because I've read on other sites that ppl have done it but most are blogs like the one here https://www.emilydepasse.com/eldsoul/2018/3/25/ask-emily-dating-with-herpes where basically the writer is responding to a question vs me actually having the ability to talk to the person who actually has the experience

http://www.eligiblemagazine.com/2013/03/14/lube-up-with-coconut-oil/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10813049 https://www.drgonzalezmd.com/avoid-secondary-herpes-infections-with-coconut-oil/   Coconut Oil has been shown to contain alot of antiviral properties. Herpes simply cannot survive in it, however I'm curious at how effective it is at preventing herpes transmission during sex, and if it'd make you near invincible. Herpes during sex is transmitted through skin to skin friction which coconut oil significant reduces.  Also if the virus were to leave the carrier's body it would get caught up in the layer of oil and killed. But how fast? Also, The lube drys out as you rub against each other, so you'd have to keep re-applying every so often.   Depending on the intensity of the sex, the coconut oil will get thoroughly rubbed into the persons skin layers, which'd mean the virus undoubtedly be on the persons skin and flesh. But, Theoretically, The virus should be dead/inactive due to being surrounded by the anti viral coconut oil, so it wouldn't even be able to crawl into their body to infect.   We need to get a bunch of lab mice or monkey, Infect 2 with herpes (Control and Test groups) , cover the test group in coconut oil, and let them have sex. If the test group shows less herpes transmission rates than that means that Coconut oil decreases STD TRANSMISSION!   Why hasn't this been done yet? Even if it didn't reduce transmission by 100%, 50% would lower std rates significantly.
