Will Be Going To An Infectious Disease Specialist

Recommended Posts

guy1968

Hi all,

I was just diagnosed last week with HSV1 - Oral.

I have an appointment this week with a doctor (specialist) of all infectious disease - I dont know what additional tests I can have done. Hopefully, I could learn more about what I have, how I can take care of myself and protect others.

If you have any questions - email me and I will ask for you. God bless you all and I hope if you're in physical or emotional distress that God will help you comfort.

Just my two cents, after you go to your appointment, if your diagnosis is definitively herpes, I would rely primarily on natural treatments on, because I believe that they work much better with no side effects versus conventional treatment, take care

Thanks I have been taking 2 pills of Lysine at 1500 and 2 pills of Zinc at 100mg. Plus a lot of Vitamin C (Orange Juice). I also just stopped smoking - cigs and pot. I was exposed about a month ago - probably infected 3 weeks ago. I havent had an outbreak. I know I got infected recently because my antbodies were really high (report suggested early infection) and in hindsight the signs were all there. Do you have any idea as to when how long to expect the first outbreak if any? I heard some people do not get outbreaks.
