Hello, I was diagnosed about weeks ago.... days after my birthday. The guy I was/am dating says he didn't know he had it but has yet to go to the doctor and just seems waaaaay to calm to have not been previously diagnosed. He doesn't want to talk about it and is now mad at me for some unknown reason to me. I feel alone in this without him but at the same time I am so angry with him. They say the first outbreak is always the worst but its been 3 weeks without relief even though I have finished the orginal meds they gave me and moved on to the prevantive meds. I hope this stuff works cause I feel like I am the point where I can't handle anymore. Any advice to make this feel better until my order arrives is greatly appreciated.

Most people get this from someone who does not know they have it. And people take the news they have it differently. Maybe this is his way of processing the information. Give him time to go through the stages of grief and be prepared to dump him if he does not come around.

Have you read about lysine? It can help shorten and prevent outbreaks. Also look at your diet and remove any foods that contain high amounts of arginine. That is an amino acid that helps the virus replicate.

I hope you get over your outbreak soon!

Come to the "Chat Room" There you will meet many nice fellow Herpsters who can offer you their support.

Good luck!
